Route 11 South, Staunton, Virginia in the Spring of 1965 to the first owner. The Mustang was traded in in 1966 and sold to another local man who kept the car 46 years until about a month ago when he sold it to us in the condition shown. Documentation;Virginia Certificate of Title Original 1965 Mustang registered owners manualOriginal Maintenance Folio from OBAUGH FORDOriginal Ford Mustang Hardtop Advertizing PostcardOriginal Mustang “Company is:” advertizement with Poppy Red '65 CoupeOriginal Mustang keys1965 Comet, Falcon, Fairlane and Mustang Shop Manual (Factory Licensed Reprint) Condition:Ready for restoration or modification. Very original and complete in every respect and thus a very straight forward restoration project. This car would also be an excellent basis for a period Gasser, SCCA road race clone, Resto Rod or hot rod. The original engine was rebuilt about 12 years ago and installed but never hooked up and started. It is stuck from sitting. Receipts are included for new engine mounts, clutch and countless other small parts as well. The photos include some of the new parts that are included that are not yet installed on the car. Among these parts are a new battery box, turn signal switch and shifter boot. In doing a inventory of the parts we found that everything appears to be here down to the jack, lug wrench and 2 spare 13” wheels. The body is generally very solid. The rusted areas are featured in the photos. The interior trim is original and complete but should be completely replaced. The fuel tank needs replacement. Terms of Sale:Please read the listing above carefully and study the photos. If you still have questions, please contact us and we'll get you in touch with the owner. This is an unrestored 47 year old Ford that has been sitting for a dozen years. It does not run. It has no warranty and is sold as is. We cannot consider any trades, thanks. The reserve is reasonable and we are not interested in ending the auction early. If you are the winning bidder we will need a $500.00 non-refundable deposit by Paypal within 24 hours, and the balance in seven days. It's all there but is in need of restoration. The dash pad is cracked. The Speedometer cluster is complete but untested. This also applies to the heater controls and factory radio. The dashboard has not been cut for a different radio. All the window regulators work although the rear quarter windows need lubrication. the vent windows swivel easily. There is no photo for the headliner because all it will show is a headliner in need of replacement.
