Vehicle Detail
OKAY!!Here we have a Cortina Mk2. Car is reaaally fun to put around in.If youre reading this I'm sure you know what youre looking at.It's an automatic, which actually/surprisingly makes for extra lazy fun. I had a t-5 for it, but then wtf? all I gotta do is put my right foot down, and keep my hands on the wheel.Keeping your hands on the wheel is important, because the tie rods are shot to hell. It makes for added excitement. The engine runs good(1600 crossflow), I rebuilt the carb, installed an electric fuel pump/reg, spark plug wires(msd lol), plugs, uuuhhh... optima battery, valve lash, new fuel tank OH with custom fuel filler neck and cap off my 67 mustang lol!!, uuuhhhh... maybe I'm forgetting some stuff whatever... it fires right up and runs awesome!I put a stereo in the glove box, and put some cool speakers in it... I dynamatted the door panels, and rear package tray....The shocks, and struts are basically non functioning... it has koni's in the rear, and I dont know what kind of struts in the front. Its stiff like a RACE car hahaha!I busted the tailight totally bummed on that... but I'll fix it if you "buy it now"The passenger fender has bondo all up in it, but other than that there isnt really any substantial rust anywhere I can think of... maybe a little surface rust on the trunk lid?I have new weatherstrip for the front and rear windshields OH and a bunch of extra parts that came with it when I bought it... I'm not gonna bother cataloging all that, but you'll get the boxes of them. Hey if you're local, come check it out! mouldings bumpers little bits and stuff haha extra tailight lenses but not for the side thats broken hahahaha! The interior is jacked up to say the least... well.... maybe its not...yeah I guess it's jacked up. but the seats are there front AND rear...hahaha basically cracked dash pad, tore up headliner, no carpet.Alright I'm tired of talking about it so I'll leave you with this: this car is awesome, and really fun to drive, people will stop and ask you about it ALL the time, it's a 2 door (rad) its not a datsun 510, it's English, it's American, its classy, its trashy, chicks say they dont like it, but then love it after some rich old dude in a porsche starts tripping out on it, and kids on skateboards give you thumbs up. I restore cars for a living, and used this as my go-to-7-11 car. I just have too many projects, and not enough time to spend, so I just want to pass it to either someone who wants to restore it, or cruise it like a true high/lowbrow force of nature.OH and if you want this thing concourse restored I can make that happen for you, or just some crap fixed up, I'll line you up.CHEERS!!!
