Here for your consideration is a running 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk V8 Coupe as it was acquired. Car comes with a clear California title. Last registered through June 08. The previous owner has done quite a bit of work to this car and used to drive it regularly. He had given the car to a painter who removed the bumpers, trim and glass and had done a lot of work to prep the car. Lets just say that the painter went away on an extended fishing trip before the car was finished. I have fired up the motor and it runs amazingly well. Smooth, quiet and very responsive. No smoke. No noises. The dual exhaust sounds very cool and not too loud. The car has new brakes and a new clutch and pressure plate. The rear end has been resealed as well. The gauges work. The charging system works great. The starter is new. The car needs to be painted and put back together. The interior is there only in memory. The steering wheel is cracked pretty bad. However, the steering gear has a good tight feel. The body is straight as a pin. The bumpers are straight as well. Most of the bright work is in poor condition and will need attention. Most all the trim appears to be there and workable (see photos). The right front headlight bucket needs to be straightened. All the glass is excellent except one flat side window which is intact but cracked. I had planned to resto mod this car. Unfortunately, my health has other plans for me. This is a great car to start with. It's straight. It runs great. The rest is up to you. Please ask questions before you bid. I'll do my best to answer back as quick as I can.
