Vehicle Detail

This is a 1971 340 Duster that was started as a project and now needs a new home. The car was originally equipped with a 340 column shift 727 bench seat power disc brakes and power steering. The original engine, transmission, grille, are gone. The car now has 10" manual drum brakes, manual steering gearbox and floor shift steering column. Body: The car has had both front floor pans replaced, the trunk pan has been patched where the sheetmetal was rotten, the drivers side rocker panel has been patched, and a manual shift floor hump has been installed. The car has weld in sub-frame connectors from US Car Tool (installed) and comes with their weld in torque boxes (not fitted). The original front radiator support was replaced with XV Motorsports square tubing weld in support and the XV Motorsports tubular inner fender braces have also been welded in. The car still needs passenger side rocker panel replaced, tail panel replaced, and both lower rear quarters replaced, as well as final cleaning up of the other metal work that hes been performed. Included are two stock Duster grilles and one set of head light bezels. Two flat hoods, two drivers fenders, two passenger fenders, and two deck lids. Interior: Has a really nice green dash included from another Duster. Nice set of high back buckets (white) from a 73' Charger. Do not have the correct bucket seat brackets. Has original back seat in good condition. Interior needs reupholstered. Drivetrain: Engine- The car has a 5.2 Magnum engine installed that was pulled from a running 99' Ram w/82k miles on it. The engine has a Kevko 6 qt. oil pan, nice aluminum valve covers, professional products air gap manifold, edelbrock 1405 600 cfm carb, Edelbrock chrome air cleaner, Mopar Performance electronic distributor, US made SFI rated internally balanced harmonic balancer. Also included with the car will be a 73' 340 block bored .030, 340 forged crank turned 30/30, new Milodon stock flow aluminum water pump, Edelbrock 1400 600 cfm parts carb, Summit electronic ignition module + harness, new starter, new MSD spark plug wires, Painless wiring electric fan relay, Painless wiring electric fuel pump relay, Summit battery relocation kit, Professional Products electric fuel pump, US made aluminum radiator, Summit electric fan. Summit headers, Summit 2.5" x-pipe kit, Summit 2.5" Flowmaster type mufflers, new CAT 130 tooth US made internally balanced SFI approved flywheel. Transmission- Has a B-body A230 3 speed transmission installed with correct length driveshaft. Has aluminum split pattern 3/4 speed stock bellhousing, freshly surfaced stock internally balanced flywheel, New Mcleod clutch kit installed. The magnum engine has the correct pilot bearing installed (new). Have clutch fork and some clutch linkage not all. Has clutch pedals installed. Also have an A-body A833 4 speed that is included in the auction. Also, has Hurst 4 speed super shifter(no rods or mount) and Lakewood scattershield. Differential- Car has original 8.75 A-body rear end with (I think) 3.23 open gears. Wheels and Tires- The car is on SBP rollers and comes with five extra rollers. Also included are the pictured SBP Centerline Autodrags painted grey 15x8.5 rear and 15x3.5 front. The tires on the Centerlines are brand new 275/50/15 Nitto Drag Radials on rear and 165/75/15 cheapo front runners. Axles and spindles have long studs to accomodate the Centerline wheels. Misc: The original dash board was sold with the harness and gauge cluster. The original VIN tag was removed and will be included along with the proper rivets for resecuring. There is a stock Duster dash, gauge cluster, and wiring harness that is in very good condition that is included in the sale. The fender tag is still on the car and the VIN from the dash matches the door. There is also one build sheet that was found behind the rear seat included. Parts needed: Lower rear quarter panels, tail light panel, windshield, windshield gasket, misc. window trim, LA type timing chain cover, Misc. small items. Summary: I've spent a lot of time and money on this project however my priorities have now changed. My loss is your gain. There's at least $5k of parts here if I were to choose to part out but don't want the hassle so, whoever wins is going to get a good deal. I'm not trying to rip anyone off with the VIN having been removed. The car was intended to be a driver and the dash was busted up and would have cost too much to repair and I had a nice regular dash to replace it with already. Winning bidder must pick up the car within three weeks of the auction ending. I will help load the car I will not help with shipping. The title is clear and in my name. This is a no reserve no BS auction that starts at $.01 the winning bidder takes home the car. I do not reserve the right to end the auction early.
