Vehicle Detail
For auction I have a 1951 Ford F1 shortbed pickup. This is a project truck that i'm told sat for the last 27 years. The odometer reads 59,661 miles. This truck is very complete missing only the air cleaner and the original wheels and hubcaps. The cab and the floors are very solid with a very small rust spot maybe 6 inches long by 1/2 inch wide under the seat on the drivers side and the cab corners are starting to rust. Both doors are nice,no rust out. The door glass is good but fogged around the edges. They both roll up and down smoothly and both doors open and close as they should (no sagging ). The dash is complete and unmolested but has two small rust spots in the left and right lower corners. The pickup bed is nice and straight, it has not been beat up and is not rusted. The wood floor and metal strips have seen better days and need replacing. Other than a dent that someone hammered out on the left side the tailgate is straight and rust free. The rear fenders are pretty nice also but there is rust where the running boards attach and on the rear where they mount on the bed side. The running boards are rusted and should be replaced. The front fenders are rusted but are repairable. On the inside rear of the hood there is a brace that the hood hindges mount to needs repair on the ends. The grille is nice as well as the front and rear bumpers. The pan below the grille and behind the bumper has two small rust spots. The original flathead and the radiator is all there and complete but the engine is stuck. With a little work it might free up but I havn't tried. The column shifted 3 speed shifts thru all the gears like it should. There is a extra stromberg 97 carburetor that appears to have been rebuilt, a fuel pump and few extra parts included. All the glass is there and is fogged around the edges, the left vent window is cracked and the right is made of plexiglass. The seat is torn on the drivers side bottom but the rest is in good condition. This truck has lots of patina and would make a killer rat rod. This truck was probably a pretty nice truck when parked 27 years ago. There is a open 1976 Tennessee title with the truck. There is a $500.00 deposit due from the buyer at the end of the sale thru pay pal. I tried to discribe this truck as I see it but I might have missed something.
