1986 Audi Coupe GT. Becoming a rare find, especially in this condition. 152,853 miles. Strong engine and transmission. 2.22 liter inline 5 cylinder, 5 speed transmission. Zermatt silver with cloth interior. Sunroof delete car. Excellent for a rare daily driver or perfect for a custom Coupe build. I have all the records for this car from new(including a gas log for the first 100K miles). I am the third owner. This car has been in storage for approximately eight years. The previous owner bought a Saab around 2003 and didn't drive the Audi much. He planned on keeping the Audi as a "fun" car and keep it up well like he did during the 50K miles he drove it, but time got away from him and he never touched it. I cleaned the fuel lines, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the coolant tank, changed the oil, etc. Tires look new, but are flat spotted due to storage. I’ve driven it over 1000 miles and it does well. Runs about midway or below on the temp gauge. At idle will creep up as expected, but cooling fan kicks in and works properly. Brakes are good, including e-brake. Needs a few odds and ends. Body is very solid and undercarriage looks great. I have pictures of underneath the car if you need those. Timing belt looks good(have pictures). Paint overall is good, does have some scratches and dings. Should look great with a good wax job. Here are some items that need replaced or checked: 1. driver mirror and housing is broken. 2. tires, as mentioned above. 3. re-pack axles and front bearings. 4. temperature slider for heat/air does not seem to work, probably cable. 5. turn signals do not currently work. 6. needs matching key for ignition and doors. 7. needs new visor clips. 8. passenger window will need new regulator, noisy, and only goes down 3/4. 9. suggest new timing belt to be on the safe side. 10. Horn works, but I pulled the horn relay because it wanted to stay on. 11. Cruise does not work. The horn and turn signal issue should be an easy fix. I had to put another ignition switch and housing on from a 924. After I put everything back together the horn wanted to stay on and the signals didn't work. I must have done something wrong?? Again, overall a good car, but needs a few things. It all depends on what you plan to do with it. Even though I've been driving it I would suggest towing it home just due to the unforseen. My main concern is the tires(they look great, but are old) and I think the front bearings need replaced. I can hear a hum up front, but when I turn the wheel to the right it goes away. Axles look good. Alot of new parts were put on before storage. I can show this car by appointment. I strongly suggest a personal inspection as your view of condition may differ from mine. Currently titled, licensed, and insured in my name. Mileage will increase as I will be driving it some before it sells. Clear title. $250 deposit at end of auction via PayPal.
