2001 Toyota 4runner for sale. Where do I start? I love this truck, it has a very special place in my heart. I bought this truck in the fall of 2005, from Twin Pine Auto in Ephrata PA. It had 48,000 miles on it, and was practically brand new. Now it has 296,000 miles. This truck has been a trusted companion throughout the last 7 years, and I hate to let her go. I have been all over the east coast, from Maine to Florida to Minnesota to Kentucky. I would say that 80% of the miles are highway miles, if you care. I can tell you that it doesn’t burn a bit of oil. I have had all the services done at Lancaster Toyota, and I have a folder probably an inch and a half thick of records. I have done everything, even the engine flushes and fuel system cleaners. I’ve done a bunch of timing belts, wheel bearings, trans filters, etc. This vehicle has been well taken care of, and the truck drives like its almost brand new. I’ll run down the details: The upgrades: HID Bulbs Tundra brake calipers, rotors, and pads Powdercoated Hitch Aux input (for ipod or whatever) Fitted front Husky Liners Fitted Sun Shield The bad: This truck has a check engine light, the code reads P0770, which is a transmission solenoid code. I decided that with the amount of miles on her its time to move on. The trans whines a bit, and will need some work in the future. Also, the key sometimes doesn’t want to unlock the drivers side door. One last thing, there is a small leak somewhere on the steering rack, but I put in some lucas oil and it stopped. Other than that this truck is awesome, it runs great and you can drive it from here to wherever you need to go with no problems. I would feel totally comfortable driving it from here to Florida.This is a great buy just keep in mind that it will need some trans work down the road.
