Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1972 BMW 3.O CS. It has been repainted it its Agave Green factory color. The car was taken down to bare metal and redone in PPG products throughout. The top coat is basecoat/clearcoat (global ppg). This car did not have the typical shocktower rot associated with most of these cars. The car is had 2 small sections of floor replaced, butt welded in. The trunk section is also generally a section that rots in the car. I had a new old stock panel sent from germany and professional installed the entire pan installed so no rot there either. All of the trim has been redone on the car. The chrome and polish stuff. The only parts that were not redone were the front and rear window trim. There is actually a suprising amount of trim on these cars when it is all taken out. Especially the door opening trims. The interior has been completely gone through as well. The seats and door panels were completely done in very high end leather. (beyond factory level) the carpet and trunk matt were replaced with original style bamboo german squareweave carpet. The wood was completely redone by "The coupe guy" in colorado. The dash pad had 2 small cracks near the instrument cluster area. The radio is also non functional, I also have another radio plate where you could install a single din radio if you so desired. The drivetrain was rebuilt by the previous owner. I removed the engine and replaced all the seals on the engine. Then it was repainted in black basecoat. All the hoses etc were replaced at this time. The header was coated in bright ceramic at this time as well. Of course the engine bay was repainted in basecoat clearcoat at this time as well. The transmission is of a later date and is a 5 speed manual with the overdrive. The suspension and brakes have all been rebuilt. All the linkage and ball joints were replaced with new bmw components. The car steers and stops properly. The only item that has not been gone through is the wiring of the car. Everything else has been off and on the car under my ownership. Including all the window tracks/mechanisms. I have spent well in excess of 70k on this car. I am not looking to get that back, but I am not going to give the car away either! I have only driven this car a few times since it was put back together, it drives well , I just dont have the time for it and am focusing on other things. jeff 832 428 4281
