1966 Pontiac GTO Hardtop barnfind. What a classic muscle car! Currently set up for racing, it has a 4 speed racing shifter, 421 tri-power engine (YH engine code), racing ratio rear end with ladders, and over-sized rear tires. I would love to keep this car, but can't really keep something just to impress my neighbors. This GTO is a solid car with normal wear and rust. It has been repainted and the engine although period correct, doesn't seem to match what was originally in the 66 model. Frame is very solid, and the interior is average. I'm not a vintage car expert so I'm not really sure how to classify or rate it's condition. Trunk bed is probably the area that would need the most attention. I have driven the car around the block a couple of times. It will need some TLC to be really street ready, but it sure does turn heads. We worked really hard to accurately describe this car with the engine codes and numbers. We were really confident that this was 421 due to the YH engine code. Thanks to Brad in Louisianna, he has really researched all of the info and thinks that we have an original 389 tri power with some added parts to build a custom racing engine.
