The vehicles were then delivered and sold at Ford Dealers throughout the US as a commemorative salute to the 1929 Model A 50 year anniversary. Less than 5000 were built, one for each Ford Franchise, and this one was #925 off the line. Vehicle Specifics: 2.3L 4 cylinder with 4 speed transmission, front disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, rumble seat, CD w/IPOD hookup. A fun car that has that model A look but drives and handles like a newer vehicle with a 2.3L 4 cylinder. It has plenty of power, its fun to drive and handles great. An affordable fun cruiser for any special occasion or just a summertime cruise. I purchased this vehicle from a friend who's stepdaughter's Father had owned it. Originally it was the pale yellow color and being somewhat faded, I wanted a color change. The burgundy metallic was done earlier this spring on a very straight original body. The doors, trunk and hood were of course removed for painting and the jambs were painted as well. I have many photos both before and after if anyone is interested I will email them. The fenders are the original black lacquer. The original wheels were sandblasted and powder coated. All of the lights and ooga horn work. The heater works great, it has side curtains that snap on to the top. The original top is good condition although there is a small tear down on a corner at one of the snaps that has been repaired but it works just fine. All in all this is just a head turning fun car to cruise. It is not perfect, it is not a trailer queen. It was intended for my summer cruising but because of life events, it didn't work out as planned, so I am going to sell it. What it will give to you is much enjoyment, a topic of conversation, and should always be worth what paid. It starts right up, drives great, the electrical system functions correctly and always holds a charge. It cruises on the local freeway with normal traffic flow to get you to those special events or off to a weekend cruise. With exception of the color change it is very original and only 22k miles.
