25th Anniversary 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible You are looking at my 1989 Ford Mustang Convertible. First off I am only selling this car due to changing family circumstances. I currently have 3 Mustangs, 3 motorcycles and two other daily drivers. The wife tells me I need to thin the hurd, I have two growing sons and I don’t “need” so many vehicles. I will say I have 100% positive feedback on Ebay and wish to keep it that way, I will describe this car in the best detail I possibly can, I also welcome you to test drive this vehicle if you are interested in it. At the end of the posting you will see a link to a youtube video shot yesterday ( June 24th 2012 if this car) First off, you can drive this car anywhere. It does not leak or burn any fluids it also does not knock or rattle or tick as you are driving it. The heat works great, the car is mechanically sound the cd player works. It runs great gets good mpg’s and is very reliable. The winning bidder will be provided documentation of a new automatic transmission that was installed 5/2011 and has since had 14,000 miles put on it. At the same time the transmission was replace the motor was pulled out and overhauled. The pistons and rings were replaced along with all the seals. The old fuel injectors were replaced with 24lb injectors, new headers, MSD coils, and cold air induction system. The factory hood was also replaced with a Cobra style cowl induction hood. I also recently (within the last year) replaced the battery, brakes, two new front tires, (rear tires have about 70% life left) new rear quarter window motors on both sides. installed the Mustang GT rear lights- the original Mustang LX tail lights will come with the car. If the winning bidder wants it I also have a complete Mustang GT kit I will send with the car that includes front and rear bumper and all the lower skirts that the Mustang GT’s have. The top does have one patch in it, I bought the car like that but the roof does not leak, the top works ( goes up and down, see pics) I would say the top has 2 or 3 seasons of life left if you do not want to replace it. I have priced a new top for 154.99 plus shipping, I will forward the information onto the winning bidder- the only reason I have not replaced it yet is because it does not leak and I generally have the top down when its nice. I would not hesitate driving this car across the country in fact I would be willing to meet a winning bidder within a reasonable distance if need be. The car does have some minor flaws typical for its age, a few spots of surface rust and minor dents and dings from being driven. It has not been shorted when it comes to servicing, the transmission has been flushed since it was new, the coolant has been changed every springs and I have never let it go longer than 3000 miles on an oil change. The car is pretty easy on gas, I have averaged 22-24 MPG If you are not serious about paying for this car if you win please do not waste my time and money bidding on this post, I will pursue no paying bidders as far as I can.
