Vehicle Detail

1977 Avanti II. Factory 350 Corvette engine, turbo 400 Trans, Power steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Tilt, Cruise, A/C, Rear De-Fog, Moon Roof.Good solid Avanti that just needs a little TLC. Painted about 10 years ago, and has some paint cracking on the cowl, around gas filler, and door handle, see picks. Does come with some extra paint for use or matching. Rest of paint still nice and shiny. Absolutely no evidence of any accident damage ever. No stress or seam cracks anywhere. One of the nicest Avanti bodies I have seen. All Chrome very nice. Interior will need some attention, see pics. Not torn up, just has succumbed to time. Texas car, no frame rust. It will need a new power brake booster, tie rod ends are worn, shocks are worn. Runs good. This car has been driven 4 days a week, 3 miles to and from a good friends' place of work in East Texas for the past 10 years. I took this on trade for another collector car, which I had, that he just had to have. A nice Avanti that just needs a little love, and is priced accordingly. LOW RESERVE Shipping is responsibility of purchaser, but will be happy to assist.$1000.00 deposit required within 24 hours of auction close, balance can be done through bank wire transfer. If you have less than 10 Feedback, please contact me before bidding. Thanks for looking, and will answer any questions that you may have. On Jun-28-12 at 19:46:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had lots of questions regarding "can I drive it home a 1000 miles", (or so). I would not. The power brake booster needs to be replaced. It stops, but you REALLY have to push hard. And, as I said, the tie rod ends have excessive play. This Avanti, as I said in the listing, has been driven regularly for the past 10 years, just 3 miles each way 4 days a week. I would also want to replace belts, hoses and tires for for any extended drive. The A/C blows cold and has been converted to 134A. Hog Troughs are very nice, not rusty. This Avanti will require some time and money thrown at it, and it will sell, as it has already met reserve. I have priced it as an imperfect car, that, even with a modest investment, will still be worth more than you have in it. We all know the values of these cars. I have numerous collector cars, and am just out of room, otherwise I would take it on. I took it on trade from a good friend of mine, more to get him into something fun he would not need to do anything to. (He's getting along in years, and just can't do what he used to).I'm more than happy to answer any additional questions.
