Hello, this auction is for a 1948 Desoto Custom Coupe. The body on this car is very nice and straight. There is a little cancer on the trunk lid (see picture). This car will need total restoration or you can turn it into a one of a kind street rod. This car would be an easy restore or hot rod as it is very complete with not much missing. The car is complete except for the engine and transmission, which are both missing. The car originally had a flathead 6 cylinder motor and the fluid drive transmission. All the original hub caps are there (one is inside the car). The radiator has been recored and is ready to use. The interior is complete but needing to be upholstered. The steering wheel is cracked. All the dash pieces are there and the chrome looks good. The front grill is complete and it has the push bar type front bumper accessory, which I was told is a rare item. The front grill and the three taillights have a some pitting. All the trim looks good. This car is all original, it has not been cut up or modified. I have a clean California pink slip and the car has been non-opted. Please email me with any questions. Shipping and shipping costs will be the buyer's responsibility.
