It can be driven as is but should have some repairs. The Bad: The motor would be the main concern. It has lifters tapping and when warmed up the oil pressure gauge fluctuates or bounces at idle. When driving at speed oil pressure looks normal. It runs ok but not smooth as new. Probably needs plugs and wires. Before I got the truck the head gaskets were done on it. Other things I know it needs are a rear universal joint (has a lot of play in it). Exhaust is all there but has leaks (not to loud but has that sputtering sound). And it has some body rust. There is a hole in the driver’s rocker, a hole in the bed behind the rear tire on the driver’s side, and bubbles on the passenger’s side rocker. Although the paint is shiny it has dings and scratches all over. There is an ABS light on, not sure why but the brakes work normally. No check engine light. The Good: This could be a nice truck. The 4 door super cab is an awesome thing. It’s easy to get things from behind the seat and you have the jump seats if needed. The low mileage makes this truck well worth fixing up. The transmission and 4wd work as they should with no known issues. Cruise, cd, sliding window, and bed liner are all nice factory features. The tires are very good and the windshield has no chips or cracks. The shackles and hangers are good, not sure if they were fixed before but it’s a common problem with rangers. Basically I bought this truck to fix up but I injured my hand and can’t really work on it very well. I also have 2 other Rangers (my driver a 2004 4wd ext cab and a 2002 2wd ext cab that needs a 3.0) I will be selling as I get them cleaned up and ready to sell. My goal is to end up with a 4wd full size truck.The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to stop the auction at any time. As is no warranty. Re-listing due to a non paying buyer.
