This is a 1965 21 Window Deluxe Volkswagen Bus in excellent condition. It has been restored to perfection, no detail went unnoticed. It was given a ground up restoration - metal, body, engine, brakes, electrical. Everything was gone through, given NOS parts, and professionally installed. Since its completion it has only been driven on weekends and to shows. Even before being restored, this bus was an excellent candidate to be a top notch show winner as it was complete, and had all the original parts. It has never been hit or in an accident. Only very minor rust repair and it was expertly replaced with good solid metal (Gerson) of the highest quality. Runs quiet and strong with it's brand new dual carb 1915cc engine. The body is in excellent condition with no rust or bubbling. The color is Turquoise (L 380) & Blue White (L 289). Rockers, doglegs, battery tray, floors and wheel wells are all perfectly strait, solid metal. All the doors and seams close great and are fitted with new seals and rubber. The paint is perfect and has a mirror shine as is visible in the pictures. A paint job is only as good as the bus it is put on, and as you can see, this deluxe 21 window is as straight as they get. Brand new tires with white powder coated rims and chrome hubcaps finish off the vintage look. Nothing looks better than a Turkis deluxe bus with Como Green Interior. I feel that out of all the color combinations VW created this is one that is the most balanced. It feels like there are no better colors that complement each other like the exterior paint and the interior upholstery. All the seats were in excellent condition prior to resto, however they were still blasted and powder coated for maximum protection. Plus, it makes the seats frames look great. Under the panels and headliner is sound/heat shield, it makes the bus a quiet ride by blocking engine sounds & removes the clanky metal sounds that are common in a Volkswagen. The Dual carb 1915cc engine runs strong, upgraded for a lot more power. Runs like a top! Everything underneath has been re-done - gas lines, clutch cable, all the brake lines, hoses, drums, etc. It runs great and everything works like it should. All the electrical has been gone through and everything is in order. It is ready for whatever this summer has in store - Sunday afternoon drives, VW shows & cruises, cross-country road trips, or simply a daily driver. The correct 14" rims have been blasted, powdered coated and then painted Blue White to match the top color & the bumpers. The tires are new with less than 100 miles on them.
