1981 Pontiac Trans Am S/E Y 84 Black Bandit Survivor. One of 932 Black Y 84 T-Top 305 Chevy equipped cars. Also making this a rare car is the fact that it was built and sold new as a Canadian Export car as documented by the factory window sticker. This car came with The Y84 SE package w/t-tops, WS6 Performance Package including 4 wheel disc brakes, special handling package and posi rear differential, Deluxe / Custom interior Group, tilt steering wheel, rear window defroster, power rear trunk release, power windows, tinted glass and the Canadian open loop emission system (actually no emissions) with true dual exhaust. The car does have it's original jack and spare tire as well as the original t-top bags. As for the condition of this car when I purchased it it had been in dry storage for about 7 years and not driven. I had the carb rebuilt, added fluids as needed and the car started up and runs and drives well. I have been driving this car on short (10-20 mile) trips and everything seems to operate ok. The car runs strong,shifts nice and handles the road really well . With a new set of tires I would not hesitate to drive this car on a trip. As far as I can tell this car came to Georgia in 2000 and was not used very much. The speedometer shows 51000 kilometers which I assume is 151000 kilometers and translates to @ 95k miles. I am selling this car with its Transferable Georgia State registration . This car retains all or most of it's original paint and decals and although it looks really good it does have some flaws as shown in the pictures. The car is very clean with some rust on the top of the driver's front fender and a couple of pin head size blisters in the lower rear quarter and the bottom of the front fender. This car has no previous body repair as far as I can tell. The underside of this car is perfect and original as is the trunk floor and rear tail panel. Inside the doors there is no rust either. The doors open and close really nice with no sag. All the body panels line up as they have never been fooled with. The interior is presentable but could use new carpets and a rear package tray. The rear seats have splits in them more from dryness or just age . You may be able to re sew them as they are cloth. The car was originally sold radio delete and over the years the dash was cut for a modern radio, There is also one crack in the center of the dash but that is repairable. This car is being sold as a Survivor car that should be enjoyed as is. There are not many of these around and fewer in original condition. Should the next owner desire this car would be a very easy restoration project as it is so original and in very good condition in my opinion.
