1979 Pontiac Trans Am T-Top (UPDATED POTENTIAL SWAP INFO BELOW) Here is a 79 White Trans Am that is a great project car. It has been garaged for the past 15 or so years at least but now has to go. This is a great car to start with if you want to build a car and have it be a performer and a real head turner! This car has the 403 with 4 barrel with the TH 350 Automatic Transmission and All numbers match. The engine has an Edelbrock manifold and the transmission had a performance rebuild less than 10,000 miles ago. It has factory a/c (not working) and is mostly complete minus small items and has the shaker hood but will need a new air cleaner housing. This car always ran strong but has been sitting for awhile. I used to start it up every month or so but have not been able to keep up on that for awhile. I'm not sure what this car would take to get started or what it will take to make it ready to go again. Could just be a battery and new gas but I'm not sure. Just want you to know and not have any surprises. The exterior of this car is in mostly solid condition for a 33 year old car but there are some rust holes in the doors and fenders, etc and Im told that the trunk has holes in “the normal areas” and that parts can be easily bought to fix that. Im not sure what else the body or other areas on the car will need or what it will need to restore the car to road ready. I will tell you up front that i have always had the car serviced at a shop so i cannot tell you how anything looks underneath and i do not have the facilities/ abilities to climb under to find out. The interior is rough but complete except for the radio and maybe some other smaller parts it seems. I don’t know what else the car will need replaced or fixed but everything is available online to get it going again I am told. The rear axle has posi-trac and it has gold snowflake rims. I was told that I am the second owner and ive had it for about 20 years. This car does have the T-Tops which is great in the Summer!! It needs restored. Buyer will have to tow it themselves or have it shipped at their expense. $250.00 Deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction and full payment to be made within 3 days. If you cannot pay the deposit through PayPal within 24 hours, you need to contact me Immediately to make arrangements to express mail the deposit. I am flexible within reason as far as waiting for you to pick it up once it is paid for in full. Title transfer fees, taxes, and shipping/travel needs are the responsibility of the buyer but I am willing to handle what i can locally at your expense for an out of town buyer. I reserve the right to end the auction early for a local sale and feel free to make an offer and own it alot earlier!!! This car will have a high value according to NADA once it is restored to even daily driver condition!! I am putting a low reserve on the car just to make sure that I am getting Something for the car- id rather keep it affordable so that someone can afford to buy it and start working on it.
