So you want to buy a car with great gas mileage. Something the kids can bomb around in, that won't break the bank when you need to repair it. Something that doesn't have sky-high insurance rates, but not something so bare bones that it's a chore to drive. What do you do? Answer: You buy yourself a '96 Nissan Altima! We're talking 35 MPG. I won't lie to you, it has its share of scratches, but the interior is in great shape and smells like a car should, not like a barf bag. It has the options you want, like intermittent wipers, power windows, and a radio (don't laugh, you will miss it if it doesn't have one!) It's basic, reliable transportation when you need it most. Oh, and did I mention it gets 35 MPG? All this, and a low price! You can't afford NOT to buy it. It will pay for itself this summer when gas prices are through the roof!
