Up for sale is an original rare optioned 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible. This is a factory Q-code 428-4V car with original engine and it also has the original close ratio toploader 4 speed. The vehicle has the same owner for the past 12 years and is garage kept and has always been adult owned. This galaxie has power brakes and steering as well as the power top option. New items include- Clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing, new boot, exhaust (4years ago), power brake booster ( 2 years ago), Also have a new white top as well as a few new stainless and chrome pieces as well. This is not a trailered show car and is by NO MEANS PERFECT!. it is driven and enjoyed and runs and drives excellant. All mechanics work and it is maintained very well. Full engine tune up was just done last week. This is an original rare optioned XL convertible. I have seen 1967 Galaxies with the Q code 428 4V but not the close ratio 4 speed. This was a special ordered car and you can have the big classic convertible feel as well as the big block and 4 speed to enjoy. The top goes up and down well and the car steers, brakes, starts and shifts effortlessly. This is a complete car with all the original parts. A few things to consider is the paint is along the lines of a Ford Rangoon Red. It was originally meadowlark yellow but was changed in the past. There are a few scratches and paint chips as well as some rust bubbles. It shines up well and looks great ! Sometime in the future it will need a repaint. The interior is in excellant shape with good seats, carpet and door panels. All interior and exterior lights work and console is present and uncracked or destroyed like most. Chrome and trim is in good shape There are a few dings and scratches on trim chrome but it is all present and accounted for. The car is garaged in Ridgely, Md 21660 and will be available for inspection if needed or wanted. I will answer all questions and help in any means necessary. This galaxie has been owned by Ford people and maintained and enjoyed ! Now it is time to let someone else enjoy it we are looking for a 1966 or 67 Fairlane Convertible for possible trade if you are also interested in that option.
