Vehicle Detail

This has been a really fun van for our family. We have traveled up and down the west coast and used it to run around town locally. I believe the previous owner replaced the original front seats. They are in good condition and very comfortable. The stereo works well and has and auxiliary cord for a ipod etc. It does have original curtains. The dashboard has a tachometer which gives it a sportier feel while driving it. The pop top works fine and has some tears in the sides/screens that haven't prevented us from using it. The fuzzy surface of the pop top interior has some mildew looking spots on it. There is a small (less than 12" square) acrylic venting skylite in the poptop that came with the van but don't know if it is original. It has never let us down and the few repairs we did gave us plenty of indication they were needed. The water pump and radiator have been replaced recently and the distributor was replaced. It always starts fine, gets around 20mpg and has good power. The transmission has had a whining noise in third and fourth gear for the last two years and does not seem to affect the performance but ultimately I would budget to get the transmission replaced or overhauled. The Air Conditioning has not worked while we owned the van though we did have a new compressor put on in an attempt to revive it when we first bought it The body has some damage. The most noteworthy includes: Some smaller dents in the front end and cracks/damage to the plastic grills. The bumpers have bumped into things and have a few irregularities. The drivers side rear has been repainted and the color looks the same but paint lacks the shine the original paint had. The van is located just one block from Van Cafe who can sell you just about any part or repair you would want to do to this van upon buying it. The van shows its age with countless dings and dents but it all feels appropriate to a well used vehicle of its age
