Vehicle Detail
For Sale: I am selling my 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe. I've owned the car since 2001. Here are the Details: Built August 1965 and shipped to Texas. Ford Poppy Red w/ Black interior Rare stock front BENCH seat. 289c.i. engine with 4bbl carb and 4-speed Top-Loader manual transmission. 3.00 open rear end. The Good; It starts right up, idles, runs, and drives very strong. Sounds awesome! no smoke. Shiny Paint and Chrome always get a lot of compliments Body is good condition Interior is good condition Odometer reads 74,000 although I'm not sure of actual miles. I've always stored it indoors. I've added the following since I've owned it; Edelbrock Performer 500cfm Carburetor Edelbrock Performer 289 Aluminum Intake Manifold Hedman longtube headers Custom 2.5in exhaust w/ H-pipe and chrome slash cut tips Flowmaster 40 series mufflers Performance Radiator 3 core hi-po radiator Mallory Distributor Finned Aluminum cobra style oil pan Windage Tray JME Motorsports Hydraulic Clutch conversion Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Hurst Competition Plus 4-speed Shifter Hi-Performance leaf springs Recently new tires The Bad: The car has only been driven occasionally for the better part of the last 5 years and some things have deteriorated The heater core was leaking so I temporarily bypassed it so it has no heat The left rear tail-light socket is faulty and occasionally won't light It pulls slightly to the right Interior needs a refresh, headliner is coming unstitched a little bit and the dashpad and carpet need replacing. Radio didn't work the last time I drove it Dash lights and wipers didn't work although I didn't check the fuses E-Brake not functioning No horn hooked up It still has the Single Master cylinder 4-Wheel manual drum brakes. The Ugly: It has a dent on the left rear quarter panel Cracked front valance drivers side under bumper Rust bubbles along the rear fender wells Paint has some chips, cracks, and orange peel Overall the car is in very nice, definitely driveable shape for its age. It is a real head turner and always gets a lot of attention whenever I take it out. I have always maintained it with regular fluid changes. The undercarriage is clean and rust free. The engine bay is clean. It runs strong and is quite fast. It comes with 2 extra water pumps, a Chilton manual, Original Ford shop manual, and Clymer Manual as well as a stack of restoration/identification guides and books. Feel free to make me an offer. The car is also for sale locally.
