UPDATE!! Answers to questions.. 1. Turbo kit was installed July 2010 at 60,000 miles.. Never had any issues with it works perfect.. 2. Tires have about 50-70% tread left Id say 10,000 miles plus at least.. 3. Car gets 20-24 mpg in city and 32 on highway have seen as good as 38mpg at 70mph over long distances. I bought this 2004 VW Jetta GLI 1.8T from Gosset VW on Convington Pike brand new in 2004. I was a service technician for Gosset VW at the time. No one has ever worked on this car except for myself or Wolfsburg Automotive who have excellence in VW and other german car service and the only guys I would trust other than myself to work on my car. This is my daily driver and has been since I bought it new in 2004. Only has 71000miles. I have a short drive to work :) This car is heavily modified and the list is below. Let me state that although the car is very fast and powerful(there are faster on the road). I drive the car 99% of the time without being heavy on the right foot. Its nice to know the power is there if needed but in the city there just isn't enough space or reason to go fast, plus I'd rather have it last a long time than go breaking parts by abusing it. As such I have had virtually zero problems with this car the entire time I have owned it. There was a bad battery twice, a bad temperature sensor, a bad crank sensor and I changed all the suspension bushings within the last two years.. This car has been meticously cared for an maintained. Oil changes every 3000 miles. It drives as good as the day it was new and looks better.. Of course there are a few scratches and dings that any 8yr old car would have.. But this car will drive another 100,000 miles if cared for properly and at somewhere in the 350hp range its a fun car to drive.. As you can see in the pictures I have every receipt since new for everything done to the car. I have all the owners manuals and APR stage 3 owners manual.. I have a HEX USB code reader the software can be downloaded online for free.. Check the codes and make adjustments to the cars computer. This car has it all.. Never been in an accident this a great car.. I really do not want to sell, would love to keep it and just drive it occasionally as my fun car.. However I cannot afford two cars and already have my new car.. So it must go.. Various Autometer guages Upper rear stress bar Alpine CD/MP3 PlayerTop of the line wiring for sound systemcomponents in the front doors and 6.5inch in the rear doors as well. 10inch sub 4ch amp Helix headlights, I found them to not be so good with lighting the road so I took BMW 3 series projectors and molded them into the Helix light housings and then installed 55W HID set up on both the low beam/high beam and fog lights.. You will see everything at night... I also have most all the stock parts in a box. and a spare set of wheels that are beat up but still functional. Have stock engine covers and stock battery covers, stock floor mats, and stock springs for suspension. So you could raise the ride height and get some aftermarket struts with the stock GLI springs if you didn't want the coil overs.. I am sure there is more that I have forgotten about over the years.. This is my baby, only a hand full of people have ever driven this car. Most are Wolfsburg employees and myself. My Wife won't drive it she is scared to scratch it.. I really never thought I would sell her, but as it turns out I need to... You will not be disappointed in this car.. It is a ton of fun to drive, very reliable, has all the service records and receipts, accident free, looks and drives great, handles like a dream and will pull stock corvettes, mustangs, BMW M3 and Cameros on the highway.. It gets about 20-34mpg depending on the driving style and highway or city..
