It was then garage-kept until he passed away in November 2011, and we decided to prepare it for sale. Prior to 1973 (exact year unknown), the vehicle's front fender and driver-side panel was damaged. These parts were replaced at that time with original 1968 GT-350 parts. The garage could not match the Shelby Wimbledon White, so the body was painted a matching white. The original color can be seen on the interior door panels. Also prior to 1973, the wheels were replaced. My father kept three of four original wheels and the original lugnuts. These will be included with the sale of the vehicle. My father also added rear air shocks to the vehicle, but kept the original shocks in the Shelby's trunk. PLEASE NOTE: This car is NOT a restore! This is an ORIGINAL. I am 37 years old and do not remember this car being out of its garage. Since 1973, this vehicle has only been driven 120 miles from its original home to mine! In order to ensure the Shelby was running like my dad would remember, the following items were completed last month: Radiator replacedFuel Filter replacedOil Filter replacedStarter Solenoid replacedStarter removed and testedShifter Bushings replacedFuel Tank cleaned and reinstalledWater pump and thermostat gaskets changedFuel, 20w-50 racing oil added This car still draws attention and runs like an original muscle car should. On a personal note, I hope that the next owner of this Shelby will love it as much as my father did. Terms: All inspections are to be made before auction close.
