1965 Buick Riviera

1965 Buick Riviera 108,000 miles 401 Nailhead 400 turbo automatic transmission. This car was bought from the orginal owners widow in March of 2007. I have taken it on many 700 mile trips. It is a dependable car. Engine : 401 Nailhead V8 - All orginal with the exception the lifters , timing chain and gears replaced in 2009. there was one lifter that took a while to pump up. So I replaced them. While I was in there I replaced the timing chain and gears. Trans : 400 Turbo Automatic Suspension : Lowered 3". New variable rate coil springs in the rear One coil cut from the front. 4 new shocks Brakes : All new brake lines, master clyinder and booster. Factory 4 wheel drum. I have a Scarebird disc brake adapter bracket that will go with the car. As I was gonna do a disc swap on the front. Interior : Orginal condition wiht the exception of the front seats have been re-covered once and need it again. Not pictured is the nice silver headliner. The car has a cheep rmote CD player hidden inthe glove box. Body: The car is a "15 footer" Looks nice but on closer inspection has flaws. It has been repainted once. And was told by the elderly owner because of tree sap. While sitting in driveway under a tree. It has hard to see dent inleft front fender. Bottom of drivers door looks like someone shut the seat belt buckel in it. (pushed out at the lip a little)Rocker panel tseam has a rust spot. Passenger lower quarter by wheel opening has rust spot. Inside trunk by wheelwell has rus (pictured) Passenger door has scrape about 7" long. Right front fender has small bubbles near rocker panel. Bumpers and all trim are pretty nice. Car has 4 newer tires . Only a few thousand miles on them. (Black Wall ) Any pics of white walls are of the car before new tires. The only things that dont work on the car are the wipers (just recently quit working ) and the headlite doors open like they should but dont shut on their own. This IS NOT a motor problem. I was told it is head lite switch. ( just looked here on ebay and there are new ones avaiable for about $26) I shut them by a jumper wire from the battery to the motor wire. Works fine. The widshied on the passenger side has a scrape where someone turned them on whith a bad blade. I AM TRYING TO BE AS HONEST AS I CAN ABOUT THIS CAR. DONT WANT ANY SUPRISES FOR ANYONE. GOT A QUESTION? ASK IT. Air Conditioning works but could use a little freon to make colder. That is good news on a old car like this. As means the system is in good working order. And not junk. The car also has a hidden trailer hitch. As I pulled a smaller trailer with a old front engine dragster on it. And also has electric brakes. I A M OLNY SELLING IT BECAUSE I HAVE NO WHERE TO KEEP IT HERE AT MY HOUSE. I store it 15 miles from here and is hard to go get. So I dont get to enyoy it as much as I want.
