To start out with, hello from P.A. I am the 3rd owner of this delightful automobile. This is truly one of the top 100 cars in the USA today. A real Retro Beauty - She is beautiful, fun & fast for her age. I love to take her out on dates, a small spin to antique shops, or out to lunch. This little girl is a real head turner. The headlights work everytime & the window washer has been fixed so it works totally. Shifter Bushings have all been replaced. She is as smooth as silk & runs & handles like a rabbit, WOW! All 4 cylinders of her. Small Starter Story - I bought this car on a whim at an auction on the prompting of my wife. She said bid again and well, now, I have a girl friend. HA! HA! Well anyhow, two women can't live in the same house, if you know what I mean. I pampered the girl friend more than my wife. Just spent $2400.00 on the girl friend HA HA! Start again - Auction - A old retired German Gentleman owned this car. He walked with a cane, bent over! You see his predicament. He could not get out of her, thus it was time for her to go . Everything this 914 has to offer is great. Original - Engine & Transmission, only 99,886 miles. She pumps very strong. Rebuilt sometime in the past. Cylinder - 1)-150, 2)-150, 3)-142, 4)-147 - Tested 5/5/12. Brake fluid was drained, flushed, and replaced. New gas cap. Original paint- some small imperfections in the paint. Stone chips mostly, nothing major (small blemishes). All original color. The trunk has original mats and under mats. First key turn starts (every time) - New battery. Fresh tune up and valve adjustment and valve seals. Fresh oil change and new gas lines and tubes all replaced. The only rust this 914 has ever had was just fixed and that was the Jack post and plates on both sides of her. Repairs done properly - By Translog of York, PA. (Absolutely rust free) Even under the battery area the H/Hole is totally rust free. No accidents or other body repairs at all. (See all pictures) Other things that were attended to - Replaced thermostat cable, PA State Inspection, checkcar over, R&I, battery, and engine control computer, valve cover gasket, valve adjustment screws, new push rod tube seals - wiper switch, tachometer, fuel filter and charcoal cannister, windshield washer hoses, lug bolts, clean out check valves. (We went over her from top to bottom) Just about finished - No cracks in dash, straight body, excellent driver, tires 80%, radio works original, 5-speed transaxle 901 side shift. Drivers seat has 2 small one inch cracks at the base of the back and bottom of seat - not bad. Floor carpets are okay. Thats about it. This is an exceptional 914. Drive her on the best of days and tuck her in at night. This car can go another 40+ years. Drive her around the country at any time - Just Gas & Go!! :) 914's are starting to jump.
