I am listing my 1966 Porsche 912 Project car, this is a very early Porsche 901 Body, manufactured by Karmann in Western Germany.Serial number 455940 The original Color is Red with Black interior, the interior is original, and well kept, with only minor wear to the drivers seat, a newer radio had been installed, and since removed.This is short wheel base version, with the very rare 3 gauge painted dash. Seats are early as well, similar to those in a 356, low back, headrest delete. Engine is a 4 cylinder 912 super 90. If you are going to restore any early Porsche, this would be a great one to get ahold of! This car needs restoration, it is a great start for someone with some skill, and would be worthy of a total restoration. A novice could make this a driver with little work, a professional would bring back a work of art, and a piece of history... either way, a great car, and in short supply as projects. Exterior: Paint needs to be done, body will require some work. Rockers look very solid, minor rust to belly pan, however floors themselves seem solid. Interior: very nice original, dash cap is nice, steering wheel, seats, door panels and carpet are very nice for it's age. really not too much to do here for nice driver quality. Engine: was running and driving before being stored, the carbs need cleaning, engine needs tuning, currently turning over, but because the gas is delivering excess gas to one carb I am not going to attempt to start it. It will need to be cleaned, fluids changed etc. but the engine was free, and was drive able within the past couple years.Brakes: sticky, need doing, emergency brakes work.Glass: all good, windshield has vertical crack near passenger window pillarRust: some signs of previous repair, overall looks quite solid, will need repair to pass dog leg near susp mount (see photo) this is the worst spot. Extras: included are the original black air cleaners, plus a chrome set, late 60's 911 rocker trim with rubber inserts (not installed) 4 extra chrome rims, 4 extra chrome hubcaps with emblems New parts: distributor cap, rotor, condenser, points, rubber trunk seal, hood emblem
