Up for sale is my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta TDI GLS. I drove this car about 80 miles per day on the interstate between Bloomington and Peoria, IL 6 days per week, for the last year. I am selling it because I am finished with diesel school and no longer need to commute. It is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, leather upholstery, power sunroof, manually adjustable heated front seats, CD & Cassette player, and Remote Keyless Entry System. It starts and runs without any issues. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch actuation requires little effort. It is very easy to drive. I have achieved as much as 47 miles per gallon on the interstate, and you can very easily see comparable fuel economy. Expect 42 MPG combined city and highway mileage. The car has a new clutch & flywheel (10,000 miles ago), new transmission fluid (10,000 miles) and new front wheel bearings (3,000 miles) and new CV joints (3,000 miles). The interior is in great shape. The center console's arm rest latch is broken and won't stay. The leather is all in very good shape and everything works. The car is obviously not without flaws at nearly 170,000 miles. There is clearcoat wear on the roof, hood and trunk lid. It has some scratches here and there, and a dent on the driver's side front door. I bought the car without the grille and purchased one, but never got around to putting it on - it will come with the car and I can put it back on for you. However, these cars are bulletproof and I'm positive it will make a reliable and economical daily driver for years to come. The car is paid off and title is in hand.
