Vehicle Detail
I bought this car as a resto-mod project. The more I look at it from both above and under, the more convinced I am that this is a low miles car that got put in a side lot or feild and sat till the interior went away.It does have some rust issues in the cab, I have the new floor pans that will go with. The front suspension has been rebuilt. The bed has no dents or dings. It is a factory V8/auto.(289 C. I.) No power steer, or brakes. The engine paint & fender wells are factory and untouched. The seat and dash pad are factory and the only sign of wear is having the sun beat on them for years. The pedal pads show very little wear. The door panels and 1 arm rest are gone, The head liner is also shot. The carpet is a little faded but re-usable. The glass I would call fair, but only because it is 47 years old. Still clear and not de-laminating. The wheels are AR Tourque Thrust 14" and appear to be early run. All the stainless is there, removed for polish, and will look great once done.( I had to repair 1 of the bed corners, and it will have to be re-chromed) The paint is probably a re-paint as it is pretty orange peel, but still shines up NICE. There are extra parts that will also go with. I have no way of knowing if the mileage on the odometer is correct, and you can call me weird if you want, but these things are only original once. I have a real thing about cutting up a low miles/original. Can't make myself do it. So, maybe someone else wants a resto project and will appreciate it for wht it is. The reserve price is not much above the starting price. Buyer responsible for shipping. I will help with loading. I reserve the right to remove this listing prior to end as it is for sale locally. Thanx for looking. Any questions, just ask. Sorry that I forgot to put in the listing the driving condition. I drove it home when I bought it. It is one of the easiest starting cars I've ever had. The C4 trans seems fine except that it doesn't shift into third. I've been told that the modulator valve is bad, but I haven't replaced it. First and second are just fine, you can even spin the tires from a stop. One last thing Guys, May not be too important, but the original jack is in the car.
