Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1953 Ford F-100 50th anniversary model. This truck is 95% original. It has a Flathead 8 Mercury engine that my father put in it while he was rebuilding the original one for this truck. I have the original one and it goes with this truck if the buyer desires. The truck was painted in 1967 because my father's friend that he used to hang around with, owned a body shop and they had nothing else to do so they painted the truck. This truck is in beautiful condition for being mostly an original '53. The truck has 66,902.5 original miles. My father was the original owner of this truck and the only driver. He never let anyone else drive his vehicles. This truck has a 3 speed on the column, with manual transmission. The right front passenger's fender has a rust hole in the front of it, over the headlight. This shows in 1 of the pictures. There are only a couple other small spots here and there, but nothing major in the rest of the body. The pictures that show the inside of the cab floor show some discoloring. This is only surface rust. It can be scuffed up and painted. My Dad backed this truck into the garage in 1969 and he put it on jack-stands, and it has never been taken out again, until 3 weeks ago. It even still has the plates on it. When my mother died he lost interest in most everything, including his truck. The engine is free, but it has not been started. I replaced the 6 radiator hoses, and filled the system with WATER to make sure there was not going to be any problem with leaks in the system. I also took off the fuel pump, cleaned it out real good and filled the gas bowl with fresh gas. This truck needs an exhaust system. It has a cracked back window, and it needs the wood replaced in the back bed. The termites got into it and chowed. The truck comes with a brand new exhaust system, muffler still in the box and tags still on the pipes that was bought to put on it when the original motor got rebuilt. It also comes with an original Ford rear window to replace the broken one, and a brand new rubber to install it with that I have purchased, a brand new original Ford rubber floor mat for inside the cab that is still in its box, 4 new wheel cylinder rebuilding kits, 2 fronts and 2 backs, a new master cylinder kit, 2 new shocks still in the box, a pair of tie-rod ends. I think they are new but they are not in boxes. They were inside the cab on the floor so I would assume they go with this truck. 2 extra original rims that have old tires on them. (I have not flushed out the fuel tank). If anyone is looking to restore a '53 F100, this is definately the one. (Hopefully back to original). This is a very nice looking truck. Look at the pictures. This auction could end at any time because I do have it advertised locally. Thank you for your time.On May-15-12 at 02:22:15 PDT, seller added the following information: THERE IS NO "BUY-IT-NOW" ON THIS TRUCK! This truck was advertised locally by Word-of-Mouth to family, friends and people I think my father would want to have this truck. If any of them want this truck before it hits reserve, they can have it. Once it hits reserve, it belongs to someone else. Please do not email me to ask what the reserve is. I paid to put a reserve on this item and I do not choose to reveal it. If you want this truck you will need to bid on it. Thank you.On May-15-12 at 07:38:00 PDT, seller added the following information: also it is being offerd to family and friends for the reserve amount. thanks for your time On May-16-12 at 03:16:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have some original paperwork from purchase of this vehicle. I have the original car invoice from Ford, a trade-in paper for the vehicle he traded in towards the purchase of this truck and the 1968 Massachusetts registration that goes with the plates that are still on the truck. These plates can still sometimes be used as valid registration plates, in some states if accompanied by registration certificate. There are also 2 original Ford Buyer's Guides from the dealer when he purchased the truck. On May-22-12 at 02:01:31 PDT, seller added the following information: i have had so many people ask for a buy it now price even after i have stated no buy it now. Now I have put one on the truck .
