1974 BMW 2002 model in the yellow or gulf color with 62000 miles . California car . has several California registrations . and a few California smog test sheets . and yes it passed the smog test . the car has all the original motor , transmission , the original carb , with the original breather . has all of the original body panels and has had no crashes in it's history . has all original glass as well with no cracks . has the sun roof . no leaks . but it will not open . the car is an original gulf color car but has had a repaint by the original owner and is holding up quite well . the car was brought to Indiana in 1994 and was stored in a attached garage until this spring . we have replaced the front tires . also replaced the front brake calipers and front brake pads . we also installed a brand new battery . the gas tank was flushed . added new spark plugs and changed the oil and the filters . a portion of the exhaust pipe has been replaced but the rest o the exhaust is still original . after all that she started rite up . the car runs and drives very well !! drives straight . steers straight . stops straight . it has new rear gas shocks . the interior is in very good condition . seats have been replaced with newer seats that have no holes and still have all the padding in good condition . so there is also an extra set of seat belts with it . comes with service records . invoices . service manual . main manual . the original plastic holder . comes with a clear title . and an old Berkly California map . this car still has the original radio in it that still works . if that's what you call working !! it only picks up a few stations . and a lot of engine noise when between stations . carpets have no holes but some stains . same deal with the original floor mats . there are no rust holes in the floor or under the seat . we had the under side pressure washed and painted so that you can see the condition of the floor boards . the engine leaks no oil . the engine does not burn oil . the engine runs very strong . and smooth . the transmission oil has been changed and it shifts through all gears very well . no grinding . and the shifter is nice and snug . the rear end and axle shafts and boots are in good working condition . every thing works on the car with the exception of the fan motor and the sun roof . i feel that it would be hard to find another car like this with this color in this good of condition . but please !!! look at the pictures . watch the video . and make your assessment of what you think the condition is . the car is available to be seen in person and i can set up a time for test runs . please e mail or better yet call me with any questions 812-325-1542 . you can fly in and drive this car all the way back to California just the way it is ! a deposit of $500 will be due within 24 hours of the end of the auction . the remainder will be due within 48 hours after that . this car is sold as is where is . there is no warranty . if you are serous about buying this car i would welcome you to call me and talk to me about the car . e bay charges quite a bit of money to place these adds . please do the rite thing . this is not a game ! if you have low or no feedback you will need to contact me before you bid or your bid will be canceled . this auction is for united states bidders only . shipping is the buyers responsibility . i am not a shipping company . call one of the many shipping companies for a shipping quote . i will be happy to see that this car will get loaded on to the winning bidders transport truck that you hire .
