Vehicle Detail

2003 Porsche 911 Turbo with rare factory X50 Pkg. 6Spd Manual (All Wheel Drive) WP0AB299X3S685144 56,200 Miles All Scheduled Maintenance, All records, Always garaged, Non-Smoker, No kids, Interior like new. Comes with all original books, tool kits, spare wheel/tire, Porsche window shade, diagnostic cable, boost leak test kit, wheel spacers, K & N air filter (not installed). Full 60,000 mile Major service just performed (March 23rd 2012), and had coolant connector mod completed ($4K worth of work) 3.6 Liter Dry-Sump Metzger GT1 motor with Porsche factory X50 kit ($18K option), I have $26,000 in receipts from the past year and a half on all of it's upgrades. 911 Tuning Stage 4- K24 kit, and GT2 Clutch upgrade to handle extra power (dual-mass flywheel for better driveability) (less than 6K ago) High flow Cat with muffler bypass (no CEL's ever and always passes smog) and still have the OEM GT2 exhaust that came with the car, Silicon Boost hose upgrade, 2.5" Y-Pipe and turbo intake upgrade, plenum is strapped to case to handle extra boost levels, stock air intake and filter (went for better filtration in lieu of miniscule power increase with aftermarket unit), car is ubber reliable even at these power outputs. (modifications were perforned 6K miles ago)(also if you see other cars with the K24/18G upgrade for sale, this is common, just make sure they also have the fuel injector mod too and not the 5 BAR fuel pressure regulator... that is the cheap way and starves the car of fuel causing a lean condition) This car was done right and is just as reliable as bone stock. Burns almost no oil, which is amazing for a turbo car of any make and model. I've never seen a motor like this that very rarely needs oil. It always amazes me every time I check the oil. Doesn't smoke on start nor at idle, nor when reving. This car also has new Bilstein PSS10 coil-over suspension with adjustable dampening and adjustable ride height (lowered 3/4") (less than 6K miles on PSS10's), 18" Forgestar Wheels (super lite-weight sub 19 Lbs front and sub 24 lbs rear) with Toyo R888 tires (50% tread front, 25% rear) Complete GT3RS shift mechanism with all metal bushings instead of plastic. Contact Reno Rennsport for any quetsions regarding this car as they have done all the work and can testify to it's quality and reliability. (775-331-4366...ask to speak with Ryan) Known Issues: unlike 95% of sellers out there I want to be totally honest about this car so that you know what you are getting. I did not have the same courtesy when I bought it at the end of 2007 and adopted a fixer upper because it had been sitting idle for too long. *The plastic sunroof cassette is cracked (tray that the sunroof sits in), but the mechanism works, as I hate sunroofs and never used it I never got around to fixing it. The sunroof will pop up into it's vent setting and it will even open up but I don't open it all the way because a plastic part of the tray snags the top when it's moving rearward. Can find these trays on Ebay from time to time and then its just a matter of removing the headliner and installing it. *There is a sound at the front of the car that is not mechanical, but is some sort of vibration, that you only hear when driving over rough pavement. I've had it in the shop twice to find it and they checked every suspension component and differential and wheel bearings and all of those components were good. I've been told that sometimes something in the fuel tank, related most likely to the fuel float lever sensor can develop a vibration and to that end I can hear something inside the fuel tank vibrating when I have the front bonnet up and I shake the car so it may be true. Whatever it is, it does not effect the drivability at all, it's just a noise... and I've lived with it for about a year now. If I were to keep it, I would put it back in the shop and have them check the fuel tank float sensor. *Oil pressure sender sensor has a very occasional glitch, works 99% of the time but once in a blue moon it will not read for a few seconds which triggers an on board diagnostic alarm, and then after a second or two it functions again with no problems for the next however many months. Must have been doing this since before me as I have the receipt from the previous owner that shows his shop replaced the sensor due to the same intermittent issue. So either the sensors are prone to fail or the wire going to the sensor has a short. The sensor is at the back of the motor on top and so it's not hard to get to it. It was so intermittent that I never bothered to try and repair it. *VIN # Auto Check score of 94 shows one incident (normal score for these cars is 89-92 (higher is better)) As does Car Fax. (I have the car fax report if someone wants it) Car was backed into at my wife's work and the person left the scene...so the front bumper cover was replaced. I also had a scuff that was on the rear bumper cover when I purchased the car fixed. At the time the autobody shop told me that the only real way to fix it was to replace the entire rear bumper cover as the eurethane didn't hold up well to repaint. As that seemed excessive for a scuff I didn't listen to them and just had them repaint it in order to save some $$$... well unfortunately they were correct, it held perfect for about a year and then a deformity in the paint started to develop in that spot under the clear coat. It's very hard to see unless you look very close but it's the only mark on the car except for normal road wear areas at front and around wheel wells. *Recently had the car looked at by someone with autobody experience and they think too that it had some bodywork repair done to the rear driver side qtr panel prior to my owning it, just above the wheel, a small area that he thought was probably repaired. I didn't bother taking a picture because it wouldn't show anything. It takes a trained eye to see it. I never noticed it. But it is common with exotic cars that have been damaged for the owners to just pay for repairs so that they don't have any marks on a CarFax report. I even paid a few years back to have the fenders rolled and the autobody shop never mentioned to me that they noticed anything either. *Please don't take these issues as meaning this car is a disaster...it's very, very far from that, It's actually in very, very good condition inside and out. And mechanically I bet it's in better condition than 95% of the other Turbo's and X50 cars in the US. I have babied this thing since I bought it. It's never been tracked, and never ever launched, I did take it to it's V-max a time or two but it's never been abused by me at all. It's been a great car and is daily driver reliable. I had more problems with my Subaru then I did with this car (after I fixed all the glitches after I bought it) I just want to be honest with whomever is interested as I would much prefer that to finding a bunch of issues after I was told it was perfect. Here's some You Tube video I shot of the car the other day that gives a better representation... Some other interior features are, Sport Comfort Heated Seats with memory and Porsche crests in headrests. Tequipment Carbon steering wheel, Shifter and E- brake levers and carbon door sills. Alcantara headliner. Optional White Guages. Rennline aluminum racing pedals and aluminum floor tray (floor mats slide around too much for my likes) on driver side. Invisible Bra on front bumper, lower bonnet, mirrors, and intercooler intakes (vents to the rear of the door). Super reliable and you will avoid all of the quirks and repairs that a low mileage car WILL have. With these cars low miles DOES NOT = less problems. Car was always idled before shut-down to allow the turbos to cool. A very fun car. sounds incredible. Loss of job forces this sale or I would be keeping it a bit longer. Want it to go to a good home with someone that will take as good of care of it as I did and someone that will drive it and enjoy it. Buyer to set up and pay for transportation. Payment within 3 days of purchase. Buyer can come and inspect anytime just e-mail me if interested in checking it out, you wont be disapointed. This car with a perfect clean history and no prior damages would easily be in the mid $55K range... so I've priced it according to its detractors. Don't think that because it's cheap, there is something majorly wrong with it... far far from it. forgive my crummy digital camera, there are a bunch of pixels burning out and so thats what the bright colored spots you see are... i made these first pictures large too, so that you could make out details better.
