Vehicle Detail
One of the most beautiful cars Mercedes ever built. A true classic in excellent condition. For several years this was my daily driver. It was fun to drive, reliable, and always drew lots of complements. This is not a show car but an extremely beautiful and well restored driver. It has less than 10,000 miles on the rebuilt motor. The carpet and leather seats are brand new. The factory air conditioning works perfectly and it even has the "kulmeister" sticker still in the vent window. The paint is nearly flawless with no rust and only a couple of small scratches. The undercarriage is rust free and has recently received new rubber undercoating. All gauges and lights work with the exception of the dome light that needs to be repaired or replaced. The wood trim around the windshield has been re-finished and is in very good condition. The wood dash is original and looks great. The headliner is original and in great shape except for some discoloration around the sunroof. The seal around the sunroof has been replaced, it does not leak, and the power sunroof works perfectly. The original Becker Mexico radio powers up and works, but it will only hold very strong stations. Please feel free to ask any questions. Good luck.On May-11-12 at 07:36:34 PDT, seller added the following information:I've added a few more pictures to try and represent as accurately as possible the condition of the car. The small scratch by the grille is the worst flaw I can find in the paint. The wood trim is refinished which restored the shine and got rid of the old peeling varnish, however, at the corners the veneer has delaminated somewhat. It looks good, but not perfect. I think you can see it in the picture. The window seals are solid and do not leak but they show some age. I hope you can see that as well. There are some scratches in the windshield on the passenger side from a rainy night when the rubber came off that wiper. I have it at the glass shop today and they think they can buff it out, but if not, I'll make some accommodation. Also, one of the plastic knobs on the heater controls is broken. You can still operate the control. The knobs are available and inexpensive. The plastic thumblock on the driver's side door has snapped off and I'm not sure how hard that would be to fix. Again, all gauges, speedometer, odometer, lights, power windows, sunroof, power antennae, etc., work perfectly. It fires right up and runs smoothly and it looks great. I hope this is helpful.
