1995 BMW 525i - White - 177K This no reserve auction is for a 1995 BMW 525i w/177K miles. I've owned this car for about 8 years and have put about 33K on it. I use it to commute to school about 30 miles from home 3 days a week, mostly highway miles and I'm getting 25+ mpg. I'm selling it as an auction b/c I had it as a second car and we just don't drive the two cars enough to keep them both. BTW, I have one more week of teaching, so the mileage will be approx. 180 miles more than indicated in this listing. INCLUDES: • Roadside tools in the trunk w/spare bulbs (see photos)• BMW Service Manual by Bentley Publications • 300 Aplineweiss III touch up paint (4 oz.) • 6 quarts Castrol GTX 20/50 motor oil • Purolator L28812 oil filter SERVICE DOCUMENTS: • Transmission Maintenance Service (150K check up at BMW dealership 2/05) • Fuel Filter Replaced (150K check up at BMW dealership 2/05) • Master Cylinder Maintenance (150K check up at BMW dealership 2/05) • 225/60HR15 Traction T/As purchased 11/05 (mileage: 151K) • New Brake Pads and Front Rotors (10/08) • Replaced Alternator (10/08) • New Windshield washer pump (10/08) • New Brake Sensor (10/08) KNOWN ISSUES: • Rear seat has tear (see photo) • Driver seat arm rest has wear (see photo) • Driver power seat...only partially works (I tried repairing it and it appears the motors are fine, but the cables are worn) • Slow electrical leak (I've replaced the battery two times in the 8 years I've owned it.) • It appears if the battery is losing it's charge, the car will slowly stall at a stoplight when the car is under a heavy electrical load (I noticed this in the winter when I have the headlights/wiper/defroster/radio on. I simply shift to neutral and run the speedo up to 1K until the light changes) • There are two rust spots (see photo for main rust area on driver door...the other area is smaller than a dime on the very lower left corner of the passenger door) • The "BRAKE LINING" light appeared recently, but I haven't seen it since. • The front spoiler is broken. I crunched it when I parked the car and eased forward into a snow bank that I thought was made of snow, but was made of ice.
