Up for auction is a very rare, very original, 1955 Ford Thunderbird. About this Beauty I originally purchased this car from the original owner, an elderly gentleman who lived on a farm. He kept it garaged its entire life, and the original paint is in good shape. It has only 44,xxx miles, which I believe to be original, according to the odometer. Engine and Mechanics She runs very well with no problems. Brakes were recently redone and she brakes strong! Tires are in pretty good shape as well. Lots of life left on them. Of course, she hardly gets driven so that is understandable. Top It has a new white soft top which can be seen in the pictures that folds down behind the driver seat. Paint You don't see many cars from the 1950s with the original paint job. Most people would do a repaint, but since it is original I have not had the heart to do it. As you can see from the pictures it looks stunning from 20 feet away and going down the road, but up close you can see tiny chips and cracks etc. everybody's opinion is different when it comes to the condition of the paint job, so I will try to let the pictures do the talking. I am hoping to sell to somebody who values and original rust free survivor car and who enjoy it for the unmolested piece of history that it is. I am personally not a fan of over restored cars, and I like something that looks great and can be a piece of history with the patina at the same time. The car gets tons of looks and people often shout out "beautiful car!". The car has been a West Coast car its entire life and is remarkably rust free for a 50+ year old car. There are a few spots here and there, like any car this age, but no serious issues. It also drives turns and stops excellent as well. Mechanically there is nothing wrong with this car, it is ready to be a fun summer cruiser for you to enjoy. Please ask any and all questions before bidding.
