Up for auction is this 1972 Volkswagen Squareback station wagon. Dry CA survivor vehicle. 1600 dual port engine with dual Weber carbs and manual transmission. 98% original paint that looks and shines well. Has been blended behind the front license plate/panel area. Has some sun baking through some of the paint that has given it a good looking minimal patina. Runs and drives well but has not been used as a daily driver for a number of years and could use the usual minimal items to make it better: tires and tune up would help, but does run and drive well as it is. Solid drivetrain and brakes. All electrical appears to be in working order: lights, turn signals, dome light, dash lights, wipers, and gauges all function. Horn and odometer do not work. All locks work. All glass in in good condition. Interior is in good shape for it's age. Dry body with no rust. Battery area of the pan has had a repair. No serious accidents and no signs of metal replacement. Clear California title and current registration included with the sale along with some extra parts collected over the years and workshop/owners manuals.
