Vehicle Detail

1974 BMW 3.O CS coupe. Found in Mom's garage, 79-year-old retired nurse. She drove it into the garage in 1997, and it has sat there ever since. Original miles 86,516. Automatic, air conditioning, power windows, leather seats. I aired up the tires, wiped off the windows, cleaned it with a broom. Car was originally blue; Mom had it repainted white about 25 years ago. Some rust bubbles, mainly on the rear wheel wells. History of the car: It was originally sold 10/21/74 at Hafkemeyer Motors in Mission, Kansas. It was serviced at that dealership up to the 48,000 mile service. When Mom owned the car, it was serviced and maintained at the local BMW guru, Bavarian Autohaus. Clear title. Mom can't find the key, bless her heart! Car will need total restoration, but it's a classic. Sold at no reserve. To be fair to all interested parties, the auction will not be ended early. The car is sold as it, where is, no warranty implied. The car can be viewed locally. Any questions, you may call me at (405) 321-3133. Greg. On May-04-12 at 05:01:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello BMW 3.0 CS fans! In response to the many inquiries about the car, I have some updated information. Lots of people have inquired about rust on the shock towers. I went over and looked at the car yesterday. I can't find any rust in the engine compartment on th shock towers. I hope I'm looking in the right place. I could only get to the driver's side floor pan. There is some rust under the driver's side floor pan under the undercoating. It is not horrible, about the size of your hand. I would guess the passenger side floor pan is similar. The head liner is in wonderful shape. No rips, tears, or stains. On to the good news . . . I found in looking through the receipts from Bavarian Autohaus dated 04/02/1984 Mom had the motor rebuilt with new pistons, new head, etc., etc., etc. Repair bill in 1984 was $3005.35. The mileage is not listed on that receipt, but another receipt dated 07/10/1984 for a new radiator lists the mileage at 76,345. Spare tire, jack, and tire changing tools are in the car. Surface rust only under the spare. I hope this helps. Any further questions, please call me at (405) 321-3133. Greg.
