Vehicle Detail

I'm listing this car for a friend. For your bidding pleasure here is a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk. This is an older restoration and is in need of updating and paint restoration. This car is a good driver that has never failed to start and goes down the road well for its age. It has the 259 V8 engine, 4BBL WCFB carb. It has power brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, 3:31 twin traction rear end. This car has been owned by him since 1999 and has been garaged the entire time. This car starts and runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly with no delays. All lights, and gauges work well including the original AM radio with rear speaker. The clock does not work. All glass is original except passenger door and vent glass and has no cracks or stars. There is slight bubbling on the edge of the drivers vent glass which is typical for its age. Seat covers are in excellent shape and are from Phantom Auto. Headliner is original and in good shape. Carpets have been replaced and are in good shape. Door panels are original and in average shape but are faded some and have no water damage. Kick panels and package tray have been replaced and are in decent shape. Dash cover is original and has no rips or tears but does have a few wrinkles. All switches and handles are in good shape. Tires are approximately 90% tread. Front coil springs have been replaced, wiper motor replaced, shocks have been replaced, all brakes rebuilt including lines and hoses. Power brake booster works but is erratic. Chrome on bumpers and grill side lights is in good shape, the rest has some pitting as you can see in the photos. Stainless trim is in good shape but needs polishing. Trunk seal is old and needs replacing. Paint still shines well but is old. Front floor pans have been restored using fiberglass, no rust anywhere presently in the floor. Left rear trunk corner is bubbling as shown in the photo. This has been treated from inside and has shown no increase in several years. Right rear tail fin has older repair that was not blended in well as shown in the photo. Car does have some minor oil leaks typical for its age.If you have any questions please ask, $500.00 deposit by Paypal at end of auction with balance paid on pickup by cash or certified check with proper ID.
