Vehicle Detail
This MGC has been off the road, last inspected in 1981 so sitting the past 31 years. Missouri car most all of its life. Yes, it needs a restoration but the good thing about it, nobody started on it and it's all here. You can have the honor of taking it apart and loosing some of it. HARD to find a car this complete to restore. VEHICLE CONDITION Body: Solid floor pans with the exception of two very small holes in the front of the drivers side foot well area. Passenger rocker has some bubbling and only minor on drivers side. There is some rust bubbling in the dog leg areas on both sides. I found evidence of some prior body filler behind the passenger rear wheel opening. Some kids got crazy with a pick so there are some dents on both rear quarters and a hole in the bonnet as shown. All of this is easily repairable. The doors are trash and I will include a couple of good doors with the car to replace these two. NO signs of accident damage, or at least not anything that I was able to see. Solid frame work. Some surface rust in the trunk floor pan. It does not have any holes in it but it is marginal if you could clean it up or not. Windshield is cracked, mirrors also. Originally a British Racing Green car but painted yellow years ago. Mechanical: I have not done anything with it mechanically. The engine turns over freely and the odometer shows 66571 and no reason not to believe it. Keys are in it. BOTH girling brake boosters are here and that's rare in itself. This car is equipped with the Borg/Warner automatic transmission as originally supplied at the factory. Interior: All there including one year styling of the 1969 MG seats, the BMC logo seat belts, and AM radio. Top and covers: Top was old and shot and didn't survive the trip home. Original side folding top frame is here. If you would like to talk to me in person regarding this car, please feel free to call me from 8 AM to 7 PM central time @ 816-520-2433, Joe. The car is being sold with a bill of sale only. Please view my other auctions for a 1967 MGB factory overdrive roadster project and a solid 1977 MGB from Texas to restore. TERMS The car is located in Kearney, Missouri, just NE of Kansas City. Payment is accepted in the form of CASH in person on pickup. I will accept other payment methods but please contact me regarding these PRIOR to end of auction for approval. This must be paid for and picked up within 14 days unless previous arrangements have been made. Failure to do so will result in a $20 per day storage fee imposed beginning on the 15th day. On May-01-12 at 07:41:55 PDT, seller added the following information: This vehicle is being sold with a bill of sale only. However, by using the buy it now, I will cover the costs involved and do all the legwork in order to obtain a title. This process may take 3 or more additional weeks to get resolved after full payment is received. NO storage fees will be incurred until after the title is then in my hands and the 14 day time begins for pickup. If a title cannot be produced, all money paid will be refunded. THIS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE WITH THE BUY IT NOW OPTION. Otherwise, you are on your own and will receive the bill of sale only.
