1987 Porsche 911, Carrera Cabriolet in Excellent Mechanical and Cosmetic condition. 3.2 L Engine with a G-50 Transmission. No modifications to the Motor or Transmission. USA model. The rebuilt title was issued only because it was involved in Theft and Not because of an Accident. I have owned and enjoyed this Porsche 911 Cabriolet for the last 12 years, as have the two previous owners as well. This beautiful Porsche 911cabriolet has never been on the Track or abused. The reason I am selling my Porsche 911 is that I am retiring. The 1987 Porsche 911 Porsche was one of the last hand build cars in the World. I have been a Porsche Club member for 14 years. Maintenance and repairs that were required for my Porsche 911 amounted to very little, because this model is the most reliable Porsche 911, was done by Porsche Professional Shops and some items by me. I have all Receipts. I have the Letter of Authenticity from Porsche, included in the sale. This 911 spend most of his life in CA and Nevada. I moved to Saint Louis MO last year and I drove the 1,645 miles from there to here and averaged 24+ mpg. The Car has never had an Engine Leak and there is no Leak of any kind. The 3.2 is not known for leaks, and the 3.2 Carrera is the last model Porsche 911 that can still be worked on easily by yourself if you choose to do so. The car drives smooth, idles perfect when cold or warm, all 5 forward and reverse Gears work perfectly. It starts every time. The Battery is about one year old. It drives straight as it had been aligned when the Spindles and Front Struts were replaced. Compression is 175 psi. The car has great Power and does not smoke. It passed the exhaust Smog Test every year in California and in Nevada, which are toughest smog test anywhere, meaning the Engine is in excellent shape. The undercoating is Excellent and No Rust anywhere. This Cabriolet is Manual and the Top and Headliner have been replaced and are the original German Fabric and was installed by Einmalig@com located in Huntington Beach, CA. Top is like New and the rear tinted Window is also perfect. It also comes with a Windscreen which mounts behind the Front Seats. This is the best invention for a Convertible, because it will keep you warm on a cool day with the top down and you can also hold an audible conversation with your passenger with the radio or cd playing.. It has Cruise Control which works perfectly. I replaced both Spindles in the front, Struts in the Front Rear Shocks Replaced with OEM Boge stock as came with the car. New complete Clutch Kit. Fuel Pump, Oil Pressure Sensor, Spark Plug Wires, Fuel Pressure Regulator, these items were replaced only for preventive maintenance at the 100,000 mile mark and I have all the Receipts. Parts were bought from Porsche Dealers, AutohausAZ, Vertex and Zims. The Alternator was replaced 200 miles ago, because it failed. I installed a Voltmeter in place of the clock, but I have the original clock which does not work, which is Included in the sale. Brake Booster was replaced one year ago. Replaced the Steering Wheel with a Nardi, because of comfort, I have the Original Porsche Steering Wheel that came with the car. (Excellent), included in the sale. I can mount it for you if you like. Power Seats on both sides and they work. Leather Seats are in good condition, no cuts, just normal way. They are covered with Seat Covers which are in good condition, see Photos. There are 2 complete set of Wheels in Excellent Condition. #1: OEM 15* Fuchs ,7 and 8’s. These were re-finished two years ago, no curb rash. These are shoed with Good Year Tires on them. Better than 95% left. The other set are 3 piece 17” Kinesis Super Cup Wheels, with near new Sumitomo tires. A couple of small curb rash on two wheels, not really noticeable and the Tires are also ~95% good. You have the choice of which wheels, either Fuchs or Kinesis. I can let the other wheels go for a reasonable price or I will include them if the high bid is adequate. New Carpet Kit inside the Car and in the Luggage Compartment. Installed Blaupunkt CD72 Miami Radio, the original Blaupunkt Radio Reno, OEM is Included in the sale. Replaced the Temp 2 Sensor, idle control valve for preventative maintenance, Spark Plugs, Rotor, Cap, etc. Replaced Brake Pads and sensors Front and Rear 2K miles ago. Oil Changed 1000 miles ago. I have changed the oil every year, oil, fuel and air filters even though it was not required according to the mileage. I have the complete set of Service Manuals from Porsche, OEM, 1967 to 1988 and the Bentley Service Manual, which are the Volumes that is needed for the 1987 Porsche 911. Not included in the Auction, but the buyer can get them free if the final price is adequate, fair negotiable. Owner’s Operator Manual included. I replaced the Front Turn Signal/Parking Lenses with Clear type to make this 911 look more Stealth. I have the original OEM lenses front and rear and these are sold with the car. Comes with the OEM Porsche Tire Inflator. Comes with a complete Porsche OEM Tool Kit Comes with the Boot, Comes with a Porsche Logo Car Cover. Porsche Heater and Fresh Air Blowers Work. The Car has a Rebuilt Title, because of THEFT only and not because of an accident. The Interior and Cabriolet Top were stolen which was Burgundy in color and now replaced with a Black Interior all OEM Parts for this year. The VIN numbers are located on several places on the car including the front Hood. The A/C worked fine until a hose blew a few years ago. I replaced the dryer and one hose but it needs more hoses I assume. It may be best to purchase an A/C upgrade Kit from Griffith or Zims. The stock A/C did not really cool that well when I lived in Nevada. It’s a convertible; therefore no A/C was ever an issue. I removed the Compressor which is good and also comes with the car. I have a spare Starter and Airflow Sensor which is included in Sale. The Passenger side mirror does not work. I have a convex mirror on it and it works fine. I do have a spare mirror in case it’s the mirror and not the controls. There is a tiny quarter size dent beside the left headlight on the left side front Fender. I took a picture of it, but it so small it doesn’t really show. There are no door dings. The car has not been totally repainted, but some parts of the car have been. These are the only three items, but the rest of the car is perfect and there is nothing to repair or fix. This 911 was in a Car show sponsored by the combined Porsche and Ferrari Clubs in Las Vegas and the Girls on the Pictures were Models which were part of the car show. My son asked me, Dad what haven’t you bought or done this car?.....no answer. I like cars that are good and Porsche is one of the best.
