ok so here goes ...this is NOT a can am but a car that someone ordered and production of can ams was stopped and car came from factory half finished and complteted by customer.....this car has every option i believe that was on a can am after checking everything that would have been there....car was ordered with(M40)turbo hydramitic transmission...(QCY)rally rts handing pkg...(C60)custom air conditioning...(W63)rally gauge cluster and clock...(JL2)power front disc brakes...(N31)custom sport steering wheel...(YJ8)cast aluminum wheels...and the all important(W72)t/a 6.6 litre 400 cid 4bbl v8 engine....have the original build sheel as there are some minor options i didn't list like mats,radio,mirrors...this car was shipped up from the south and has always been there as far as i can tell....as anyone knows these were very rare cars and someone decided that they wanted one and ordered and made their own....good luck in bidding and if you have any questions please feel free to call jimmy at 631 831 2354....i reeally don't think you will find another one like this anywhere...car runs and drives and sounds as good as it looks....RELISTING THIS CAR DUE TO THE BUYER NOT BEING ABLE TO PICKUP CAR FOR A MONTH AND I COULD NOT STORE THAT LONG ....JUST AS LONG AS EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THIS IS A VERY NICE CAR THAT DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING ...THERE IS NO RUST ON CAR OR ANY BODY WORK THAT IS NEEDED...PAINT SHOWS EXTREMLY WELL AND IS IN NEAR PERFECT SHAPE...I STARTED BIDDING LOW ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHT SOMETHING LIKE THIS GOES FOR BUT IT IS NOT A BASKET CASE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT...CAR GETS AMAZING LOOKS EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE FALLS IN LOVE WITH IT DUE TO NEVER SEEING ONE AROUND...On Apr-26-12 at 06:21:04 PDT, seller added the following information: so in response to so many questions....i now have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb and this is what i can tell you...yes the car has dual exhaust and it is true dual exhaust right off the motor..no catconverters...i snapped some pix of the undercarriage but i can tell you that it is clean as a whistle with no rot or anything other then some light surface rust that has now come from the car sitting outside...the car origanally was a southern car and has now been up north here for about 6 months so that is where has sat outside....the paint shows extremely well and i would rate it a solid 8-9...these pix were taken when car never detailed or waxed so you can imagine what car looks like when all spruced up....On Apr-28-12 at 05:11:58 PDT, seller added the following information: HAVE FOUND OUT SOME MORE INFO ON THIS CAR...THE MOTOR IS A NUMBERS MATCHING ORIGINAL ENGINE...THATS MEANS ITS THE EXACT MOTOR THE WAY IT LEFT THE FACTORY...THIS WAS POSITIVELY A CAR THAT WAS ORDERED AS A CAN AM AND WHEN THE MOLD BROKE FOR THE REAR SPOILER THEY SENT THESE CARS BACK TO PONTIAC IN WHATEVER STAGE THEY WERE IN MODIFICATION ...SO THIS CAR HAS ALL THE FACTORY OPTIONS FOR THE CAN AM AS WELL AS THE SPOILER ...THIS IS A VERY RARE RARE CAR...THE INTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BLACK BUTTONS...THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SEAT PATTERN FOR THE BENCH SEAT CAN AMS...THE WHEELS HAVE BEEN POWDER COATED MATCHING WHITEBUT THEY ARTE THE ORIGINAL HONEYCOMB WHEELS.....FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE THAT HAVE THIS ON YOUR WATCH LIST PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AS WELL SO PLEASE DON'T WAIT FOR THE LAST MINUTE TO BID...
