I am selling a very RARE 1983 trans am daytona 500 pace car that has recently been pulled out of 15 year indoor storage. Better yet, the car came from California and has California tags and title. There were only about 1900 of these pace cars made, and only 550 5-speed manual transmission cars. This car is increadible solid with minimal to zero surface rust on entire car. It spent its first years in California and then brought to NY only to sit indoors for 15 years. With minor tuning up, the high output 305 actually runs good and 5-speed shifted fine going down the road. It is pretty dirty under the hood and has minor exhaust leak, sounds like up near manifolds. The paint on the car is fairly decent, only a dime sized rust spot on fender, a few scratches on bumpers and on the hood the paint is getting a little thin. The worst part of car is interior...the door pads are very nice, but the dash pad, headliner, and special edition RECARO leather seats are typical rough shape. The only other thing I have noticed wrong with the car is that the door lock key is missing to include rear hatch, and the ignition key is broken but still works. But dont let the minor things fool you this car, and miss out on the RARE opportunity to own a sure-thing future collectable and one of the lowest produced Trans Ams ever made
