Vehicle Detail
1971 Ford F-100 long box truck, 302 v-8 with 2 bbl carb, styleside. From Arizona, now registered in California as my daily driver. Runs decent, looks decent. It has a 20 foot paint job with some scratches and drips, and the interior is functional, but would need restoration to look the best. This would be an easy restoration or a cool vintage daily driver. Great collector truck to pass down to junior! It has 3 gas tanks. It does NOT have power steering or power brakes, but if desired they wouldn't be difficult to install. The wipers, windshield sprayer, signals, lights, and most of the gauges work. I don't think the oil temp/pressure and voltage (battery) gauges are working right now, but it should be a simple fix just knowing my truck like I do. This truck is up to date and registered-NO SMOG NEEDED. I am not sure what the miles are. The previous owner stated that the engine had been rebuilt, but did not have any documentation. See the photos. Tires have great tread. The truck is pretty much free of any real rust. Please see the walk around video. *Please note the photos for a broken signal lens and reflector. *Minor dent in driver door. *The trucks idle is set pretty low and on occasion at a stop light it just stalls, but I turn the key and it starts right back up again. I am not a mechanic, but whatever it is seems minimal. I took the truck on a 5 hour trip in the desert heat last summer and had no problems with it. I was dying in the heat, but the truck was doing great. Which leads me to the next point- The only A/C the truck has is good old 2-55, roll down 2 windows and drive 55 mph. No A/C in the truck. *The passenger side door mechanism is broken. It will open from the outside, but not from the inside. I have fixed it a few times and then I think it just broke. A new one is available at LMC Truck online or via magazine. *It drips a little oil. Probably a quart every few months or so. *Horn button installed on dashboard rather than the steering wheel for some reason. *The dashboard cover was redone by an amateur in vinyl and is torn in several spots. see photos and videos. I am sure there may have been something small I have missed, and if that is the case I will post it when I remember. But the truck has been a great truck with great personality. I get a lot of looks and compliments on the truck by folks from just about every walk of life. Gets better gas mileage than what you would think due to the smaller carb. Tons of character and awesome patina! This is your chance to get one of the last of the ALL-AMERICAN BUILT Classics, and here on the cheap!
