Up for sale is my 1972 BMW 3.0CS. The car recently underwent a full restoration (ground up style) where the body and paint were taken to bare metal and resprayed in the original Agave Green with PPG Global basecoat/clearcoat. The drivetrain (engine /trans) was removed as well as all the trim. All of the trim has been repolished or rechromed with the acception of the front and rear window moldings. All the window rubber , door rubber has been replaced with factory bmw replacements. Anything that need replacing or refinishing was addressed. The interior has been restitched with 5 hides of premium tan Italian leather($$$) and the wood restored by a coupe expert. The bottom of the car looks beautiful as well, it was stripped and covered in 3M schutz.(with chassis parts off) It would be very difficult to have this car built for under 75k. The parts all very expensive (example one side of door weathestripping is about $500.00 when available) and many are just not available at all. With this car you have the oppotunity to get in and enjoy a correct example 3.0 CS without all the pain of your own restoration If you have looked at other CS coupes on ebay, you already know that you would be hard pressed to find another one as nice as this one. This car never had the rust around the shock towers and engine bay that so many do. This is a clean car. I encourage anyone interested to come out and see the car and take it around the block. Aside from the test drive to make sure everything correct, I have only driven the car to allignment and a photoshoot for the car. This car drives great on the freeway and retains that classic BMW feel. Car was recently inspected and given a A+ review at Texas German Autohaus in Houston, TX and they noted that it was one of the cleanest examples they'd ever seen.
