Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1968 Dodge Charger that I have owned for about 26 years. This is an original 318 car that now has a rebuilt 440. The car had a partial restoration about 10 years ago and was driven very little after that, only a couple hundred miles a year and stored in a garage the rest of the time. I will try to describe it as best that I can. Car is being listed with miles unknown because It has an extra guage cluster that I've had new vinal faces put on. The title says 90,000 and the refaced speedometer says 13010. Clear Ky title in my name. Body: Body is pretty solid, car was stripped to metal, new quarter skins, floor pans, a patch of metal in trunk otherwise original trunk floor, rust free hood, cowl, frame rails, has a dent on top of right side quarter panel from storage, a small dent in top, has rust in the corners of both doors otherwise rust free car. Car was painted top to bottom when painted including the underside that was painted and clear coated. Still looks pretty good see pictures. Undercoating was never reapplied. Car still looks pretty good, but really needs a paint job. Door weather stripping, and fuzzies were replaced along with windshield and new ws gasket. Has good glass, had front bumper rechromed, and has a nice original rear bumper. Had new, wheel well moldings, gas cap and trim ring, roof emblems, outer door handles, antenna and base. Grill works and is good but is starting to fade. Has a few small chips in paint also where the lead is in the car shows some blemishes. (Car comes with 2 rust free door shells also). Drive Train: Engine was rebuilt, with most of machine work done by Cornetts in Somerset Kentucky. Engine is a balanced steel crank 440 that was bored .30 with Seal Power Forged Pistions, Resized and shop peened rods with arp bolts, Polished steel crank, Heads are 906s with 3 angle valve job. no porting with hemi springs. Mopar Purple Shaft 292-509lift cam. Summit pushrods, Headman Headers, had new or rebuilt alternator, starter, waterpump, mopar electronic ignition ,topped with a factory iron 413 2x4 intake with edelbrock carbs and progressive linkage, holley red electric fuel pump. Transmision is a stock unit that had new seals, filter, fluids and a Reverse Pattern Valve body. This means there is NO passing gear and you shift like a manual transmission without a clutch, Starting from drive and then to 2'nd and then to 1st. for high gear, reverse and park are unchanged. Rear axle: is a stock 3:55-1 posi that had new seals and works very well. Had all front suspension bushings replaced, tie rod ends, balljoints, shocks, and duel exhaust with quiet flat hemi type mufflers. Has wheels from a 1969 GTX with new center caps.( Also comes with a rebuilt automatic transmission). The Engine has a nice lope, but idles very well with good oil pressure. With the combination of the heavy forged pistons , double roller timing chain and quiet mufflers you can hear the inner engine noises if you are under the hood at idle. Interior: Has pretty good interior, had new front seat covers from Legendary installed, dash cap, restored radio, has two dash clusters one is in car the other has new faces and nice switches that comes with car. Nice headline that was replaced, the rear seat is not restored just dyed. Has pretty nice door panel (see Pics) not perfect, but good originals not repo's. Needs seat belts, dash speaker, and carpet is starting to fade. Look at pictures, email any questions. I've been driving the car still runs good, very powerful. Rides and drives good. Has non power drum brakes that were all replaced along with flex lines, cylinders, master cylinder, turned drums, stops ok, not like disk brakes, but stops pretty good. Less than 10 feedback email me before you bid, shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, Cash or certified check within 7 days of auction end date with a $1000.00 deposit through paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Car will not leave here Until all funds have CLEARED. Thanks The only reason I'm selling is because I never have time to drive it anymore and its getting banged up in the garage. This would be an easy project for someone with all of the hard dirty work already done. Drive it now paint it later. The auction may end at anytime, but if reserve is met I will let the auction proceed. Car can be and should be seen by appt. No joyrides. Sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. On Apr-14-12 at 09:57:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Added a small clip on youtube, type in chargerminiard in search is the easiest way to get to it. Also Please read the description BEFORE you bid. I've had more questions than I can answer. Most of the questions are answered in the description. I suggest you look at the description and the car before you bid.
