Vehicle Detail
1952 MG-TD project this car has been sitting waiting for someone to finish her now for 10 years. The car has been off the road since 1957 when the engine locked up. as you can see the body work is about done but will need to be cleaned up. It is missing the gas tank for sure and Some small parts as it has been moved about 4 times in the last 20+ years. There are about 5 totes of misc. parts and the engine is also a part. Please understand I will not give her away, the starting bid is a third of what it is worth in parts I would just hate to see her parted out. What you see in the photos is what you get plus anything else I can find to go with her. Now the bad she comes with a Bill Of Sale and we are only selling with the hopes of saving our home. As far as I know there have only been two owners of this car, but I can not confirm that. The body had very little rust and all the wood is good but will need to be cleaned up again. I have not checked the engine s/n but will this weekend when I have a chance to dig it out of the corner at this time it has been completely disassembled and is on a stand. Sorry I mislisted it as a 53 when it is a 52. Data plate info: Body Type 22381 Body Number 20238 / 94442 Car Number TD/C 20891 EXL / NA Engine Number XPAG / TD3 / 21211On Apr-21-12 at 19:57:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional info on the TD. The frame has been reworked and painted and so has the rear end and front suspention. I did put 5 new tires on the car when I started the restoration don't know how good they are now but there is NO dry rot on them. when I had the interrest in doing this restoration it was going fast. My back round is in auto restoration and I do not like body filler it is for those who do not know what they are doing, Sorry if this makes anyone mad but I have gotten tired of answering the question of what I know about bodywork. This is also not my only MG, I also have 4 B's 1 Midget and a Austin Cooper. Now the other questions the Car has 4 shocks in the rear, it does come with a transmission and the engine block, crank, and head have been check but NO machine work has been done I was not ready for it at that time. The body still looks as it did when these photos where taken. The reason it did not get done is because I lost interrest after I started building an experimental airplane. Additional numbers found on the engine block are as followed 9390 24445 numbers on the carbs 3478L and the rear end 102217 I hope this helps and thank you.
