Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice car. I've driven Mercedes for many years, and this is my third E-Class. I have not owned it very long, but, I lost the disagreement with the girlfriend, who would like a convertible. Sigh. So here I am. NADA book on this car is $8000.00. What makes this car great is that there are no problems at all with it. it has an amazing 126K miles on it. A drop in the bucket for these cars. Mechanically, the engine runs like a watch. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly, just as it should. Nothing leaks. No oil, no fluids of any kind...It drives comfortably and smoothly, and is very quiet on the highway. With the inline six cylinder, you will get bulletproof reliability...there is a reason Mercedes used this same engine design for so many years, dating back into the sixties...because they are simple and reliable. Things just don't wrong on these, as many people suspect they do. These models, while known for MB's tank like construction, were really not all that sophisticated mechanically, so if you are handy, you can maintain it yourself, or, find a good Mercedes dealer to have it serviced, as this one has been. I can provide all of the service history for this vehicle, to both verify its mileage and show that it has been almost exclusively dealer maintained. My last E-class, a 1990, ran for over 250,000, and was still going strong when I sold it. I moved on to a 2002 E-320, and while it was a nice car, it was not as solid feeling as this E class variation, hence the reason I purchased this one. it just feels more solid. There is not a speck of rust on this car. It was originally purchased in Hollywood, California, (I have the original window sticker), as well as the original service booklet. I traced the original owners, who moved from California in the late nineties, to Florida. Whats nice is that Mercedes dealers maintain a national network for the service history...all you need to do is walk into a dealership service shop and give them the VIN and they can bring up the entire history for the vehicle. The front valence has a cracked piece, (pics)...the result of me getting too close to a curb while parking. But there is no other damage at all. No dents or dings at all. The paint shines right up and has a great gloss to it. There is not any curb rash on the wheels.. Plenty of life in the tires. There are no tears or even any wear on the tan leather. There is not a single crack in the dash. There IS some wear and cracking in the inlays around the shift console, but I have ordered a new piece to replace it. I have also ordered new MB logo floor mats. The car is all original...so it has the original Becker AM/FM cassette radio. All of the speakers work, and it actually is a pretty good sounding stereo. The A/C and climate control system, (automatic), works great. Nothing needed there. The power windows are all fine...no slowness in the regulators at all. The sunroof opens smoothly and quietly. The power door locks work great. Power seats are all working...no broken switches or anything. Like I said, this car needs nothing. The pictures are from my phone...I have other high quality digital pics that show the interiors true color, which is more of a deeper tan. They were too big to upload. Let me know if you need to see them. If you have any questions, let me know. Be happy to answer all I can. I know lots about these cars, and love them. But, I am going to move onto a convertible this time around...yes, an SL I think. Its time. Kids are gone off to school, so I am going to have some fun! Pay Pal deposit of $750.00 is due immediately at the conclusion of the auction. Balance due within 3 days, also to PayPal. Any other arrangements must be approved by me, in writing, at the time you pay the deposit of $750.00. The deposit is non-refundable. In other words, I expect to be paid. If you do not, I keep the deposit and re-list the vehicle. I can tell a scam a mile away by the way. Read the following carefully: Now, here's the great part of the deal: if you live anywhere in Virginia or south of Virginia, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida, I will deliver the car. For free. Yup. For free. In this case, and only in this circumstance. The vehicle must be completely paid for prior to delivery. And, as I am traveling from VA to FLA on April 23rd, it must occur within the day of the 23rd. The only other thing I would ask is that you give me a ride to either an airport or car rental facility, and I will be on my way. Otherwise, you are responsible for all shipping costs if you live elsewhere. If you need additional pictures, or have any questions, just let me know. I'll do my best. I am not a dealer or "curbstoner".
