UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1973 Volkswagen SUPER BEETLE It is a three speed Auto-Stick. Which means there is no clutch pedal to press, which makes this car easy to drive. Especially for those who do not know how to drive manual. Change gears with no clutch!! The car starts right up, yet it can use a tune up. Its been sitting in storage for quite sometime, the brakes hold, but may need changing soon, as the car has not been on the road for over a year. I drove it briefly over the summer and put it in storage. The car has been repainted by the previous owner, and it shows very well. The shine is nice and glossy. The car gets attention whenever shes on the road. Interior is very clean, no rips or tears in the seats. The dash has a crack. The window are all clean with no cracks. The Car has a rare moonroof option. I cannot open it, the crank spins but the roof wont open. I think the cable is offset. The roof does NOT leak. It has an aftermarket Am/FM radio that works. IT has a heater that works excellent. The lights and horn work. Tires may need replacing, as, the car has sat more than driven. There is no spare tire. The car has been decorated with ILLINOIS decals and banners. Which are all self clinging or magnetic. They come on and off without any harm to the vehicles surface. This car would make an awesome Illinois Student gift for graduation!! Car gets thumbs up all the time. Although this car is not a museum quality car,its got its flaws, keep in mind its almost a 40 year old car. Yet it is very presentable, and looks very nice, and once its tuned up, I would not hesitate to drive her anywhere!! They are hard to find in driver quality condition that is affordable.
