2008 FORD F250 LARIAT 4X4FX4 OFF ROAD PACKAGEPIONEER DVD/STEREO SYSTEM6.4 POWERSTROKE DIESEL - NO ISSUES!SUPERCHIPS TUNED WITH 3 PROGRAMS20" WHEELS/TIRESPOWER EXTENDABLE TOW MIRRORSPOWER SLIDING REAR GLASSDUAL ALTERNATORSHEATED LEATHER CAPTAIN'S CHAIRSKEYLESS ENTRYTINTED WINDOWSCLICK HERE TO VIEW THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!!!CALL 601-THREE-SEVEN-SIX-9869 FOR MORE INFO OR TO BUY IT NOWwatch the video in 720 high def!If you're looking for the Big Dog Diesel then look no further than this '08 F250 Lariat. It has all the good equipment and then some! Power is from the now legendary 6.4 Powerstroke diesel engine. It has NO ISSUES and has a much better reputation than the earlier 6.0 engines (though we love them personally). Once you've felt the power of the 6.4 then nothing else will do plus it's QUIET. It doesn't rattle and smoke like those older model diesels. It's a Lariat so it has ALL the upgraded optional equipment with an original sticker price of way over $50,000!!! Make sure you check out the link above to the original window sticker so you can see all the options it has on it. This one has also had an $800 Superchip tuner added for more power & towing ability. You can tune it for max fuel economy and knock back 20+mpg, tune it for max towing ability which is great if you're pulling a camper or whatnot, or juice it up with the Performance Tune that adds 150 tire-shredding horsepower! Don't worry though, on these engines you're not going to break anything until you go over 300+ extra horsepower so it's a very safe tune. When we first got the truck it had the fuel economy tune loaded so that's what it was being primarily used for plus you can tell from the driver's seat that it has seen mostly highway miles. Yes, the tuner is included with this truck! You can put it back to stock and resell it if you so desire, but once you've felt the difference it makes you will not want to go back! This truck was recently traded-in at a nearby Ford dealer on a new truck. We've been driving it awhile but our bank says it's time to sell so we're reluctantly parting with it. There are NO MECHANICAL ISSUES with this truck! It runs perfect hot or cold. No warning or service lights are lit. Brakes stop smoothly as well. Everything works just like it should. It even has a fresh (October '11) pair of NAPA batteries and a recent Ford dealer oil change! That's about $300 in maintenance you don't have to worry about right there! We would not hesitate to get in this truck and drive it ANYWHERE while pulling ANYTHING. Best of all, we got a great buy on it that we're passing along to you in the form of a LOW RESERVE that is THOUSANDS below the book value of almost $32,000!!! They are paid relatively little for their labors. The median household income in Hardy County, in which Baker is a tiny unincorporated community, was $31,846 in 2000, according to the Census Bureau. Now, local officials say, it's barely scratching $33,000, compared with a current national median income of $46,326.That means the people here aren't spendthrifts. They aren't foolish. When they spend money on a truck, they want it to earn its keep.Ruggedness and durability are premium truck qualities here and elsewhere in West Virginia. Fuel economy is important. Every cent saved here in this state of underpaid labor is, indeed, a cent earned. But if a truck can't take the beating administered by work on West Virginia's farms and construction sites, or at the state's coal mines, it matters little how many miles it gets per gallon. Here, it is marked as a loser, which is why the "Ford Tough" truck campaign has been a perennial winner in Hardy County and in other communities where pickup trucks are an important part of daily life. The latest embodiment of that "Ford Tough" slogan is the 2008 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab FX4 equipped with an optional 6.4-liter, 350-horsepower diesel engine. It is not a pickup for poseurs -- for people who want to look cool in a big truck that has the ride and gentle manners of a limousine. Nor is it meant for daily commuting between genteel suburbs and gentrified city centers. The F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab FX4 is a four-wheel-drive workhorse. It hauls manure as opposed to producing it in word-processing machines. That is an important distinction in assessing its value and place in a political environment marked by concerns about fuel efficiency and global warming. On Capitol Hill, honorable lawmakers and their staffs, many of whom have never hauled anything except lobbyists' reports, or built anything except political constituencies, are apt to look at the big Ford truck and say: "Aha, see! That is why we need higher fuel economy standards."But here on the ground in Baker, where hardworking people are waiting for Congress to do something about the federal minimum wage, there is a different view. They want trucks that work hard, that are worth every ounce of fuel they consume. They are not enthralled by politically convenient notions of fuel economy -- getting more miles per gallon in a vehicle that otherwise can't pull its weight, while attempting to placate consumers with the myth that cheap fuel is an American birthright. What makes sense to them is a truck such as the F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab FX4 that can plow snowy roads, haul a payload of 3,170 pounds, and pull a rig weighing as much as 12,500 pounds. What makes sense to them is a five-year/60,000-mile warranty on vital components such as the engine and transmission, because that means Ford has the confidence that its big truck won't quit on the job. And what makes sense to some of them, the few here who can afford it, is Ford's optional V-8 Power Stroke diesel engine that comes at an additional cost of $6,895.That engine runs on ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, which is better for the environment because it produces fewer tailpipe emissions than traditional diesel fuel. The diesel engine is about 35 percent more fuel-efficient than its gasoline counterparts.Carrying only one passenger and no cargo, I averaged 22.5 miles per gallon in the diesel-powered F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab FX4 -- not bad for a vehicle with a factory weight of 6,560 pounds (for the four-wheel-drive, short-bed version). It is not a truck for everyone, just as working on a West Virginia farm or construction site, or hauling coal out of a West Virginia mine, isn't for everyone. It is first and foremost a heavy-duty work truck, a vehicle for the real world where much of America's wealth is produced, but where not much of it is returned. In all probability, versions considerably less expensive than the fully loaded F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab I drove will be sold here. As I said, the people in this town are not spendthrifts. They buy what works and tend to buy only as much as they need. The big Ford truck works for them.Nuts & Bolts 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab FX4Complaints: It has a ground clearance of nearly eight inches, presenting ingress-egress difficulties for short people. An optional swing-out step is available.Ride, acceleration and handling: It's a big pickup truck that rides and handles like a big pickup truck -- hard and sometimes bouncy. Handling is good in straight-line highway running, competent in wide curves, less pleasing in tight curves, and ponderous to clumsy in city traffic. It is a truck designed to push, haul and tow, which is why it has lots of torque, especially at lower engine revolutions per minute. That means it's no speedster.Head-turning quotient: It drew smiles and praise in West Virginia. It brought curses and ignoble digital salutes in the District and its suburbs.Body style/layouts: Ford's Super Duty trucks are full-size, body-on-frame pickups available with rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. There are three cab styles -- regular (two side doors), Super Cab (two full front side doors and two half doors for rear-cabin access), and the tested Crew Cab (four full side doors). There are two bed lengths -- 6.75 feet and eight feet. And there are three towing-hauling ranges -- F-250, heavy; F-350, heavier; F-450, heaviest.Engines/transmissions: Three engines are available for the F-250, including Ford's base 5.4-liter, 300-horsepower, gasoline Triton V-8; a 6.8-liter, 362-horsepower, gasoline Triton V-10; and the tested 6.4-liter, Power Stroke diesel V-8 that develops 350 horsepower at 3,000 rpm and 650 foot-pounds of torque at 2,000 rpm. In the tested vehicle, the diesel engine was linked to a five-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual is available.Capacities: With bench seats front and rear, there is seating for six. Maximum payload is 3,170 pounds. Maximum towing capacity is 12,500 pounds. The fuel tank holds 38 gallons of required ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. Warning: Carefully read diesel pump labels before filling.Mileage: I averaged 22.5 miles per gallon in highway driving with one passenger, no cargo.Safety: Four-wheel antilock brakes are standard. Side and head air bags were not available at this writing. Electronic traction control is available. Ford's Trailer Brake Controller, which synchronizes braking between the truck and trailer, is optional on the F-250 and is recommended by this column.Price: Base price is $35,880. Dealer's invoice price on the base model is $33,152. Price as tested is $54,825, including $18,010 in options (diesel engine, five-speed automatic transmission, navigation, Trailer Brake Controller, power sunroof, leather-covered captain's chairs, tailgate step, Sirius Satellite Radio) and a $925 destination charge. Dealer's price as tested is $49,027. Prices sourced from Ford and http://www.edmunds.com.Purse-strings note: Easy on the options. Regular cab versions are substantially less expensive. Rear-wheel drive beats four-wheel-drive in fuel economy. This is truck country, a place where people routinely haul heavy loads and pull big rigs. They are paid relatively little for their labors. The median household income in Hardy County, in which Baker is a tiny unincorporated community, was $31,846 in 2000, according to the Census Bureau. We inspect and photo what you see and what you can't see. We'll also be glad to email you detailed, closeup pictures of any area you'd like to see more of. People ask us all the time what is the catch to our vehicles. They assume that the prices are low because there is something wrong with them. Nothing could be further from the truth! Our secret is simple...LOW OVERHEAD. We are an internet-only dealer. We do not maintain regular office hours or a large sales facility. We simply have a Mississippi bonded dealer's license, a storage lot, and a computer. Since we don't have dozens of mechanics, helpers, salesmen, secretaries, etc. on our payroll; we are able to sell at greatly reduced prices. You will notice that we sometimes go with private auctions. Our reasons are twofold...the latest scam is to send bogus 2nd chance offers to customers from a fake email address in an attempt to scam them out of money. With a private auction the scammers won't know who our bidders are so if you get a 2nd chance offer from us you will know that it is the real deal! In addition, we set our reserves to sell which upsets other sellers! In fact, sometimes we set our reserve $1,000 or more below what our cost is. This leads other sellers to email our customers and knock our product! We will provide the winning bidder, upon request, with a complete bid history including the usernames & bid amounts of all other bidders. All new or low feedback (under 5 positives) bidders must first email us for no other reason than just to make contact. This way we know we have serious bidders! If you don't make contact we will cancel your bid and black you out from future bidding. We do this to avoid the de@dbe@t bidders, so please respect our policy. If you have a rating of 5 or better you don't have to email us. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy our site and add us to your favorites, because you just never know when your dream vehicle will pop up!!! We've put this vehicle through our EXTENSIVE inspection process & can report it has a great ride & drive! We do our best to let you know of any/all issues we can find on these vehicles since you're buying sight-unseen. WATCH THE VIDEO. If you have any specific questions then don't hesitate to call us email us. Please understand we do our best to describe, in detail, every vehicle we offer to the Ebay public. However, if you have any hesitation during the bidding period, please obtain a Buyer's Inspection PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR BID to satisfy yourself. After the auction ends, understand you are the legal winning bidder of this auction and agree to all our Terms and Conditions. Feel free to fly-in & drive this one home to momma! It is mechanically sound & ready to make a trip. Be sure and take a look at the book values on this vehicle (or any other we have for sale) before you bid. We stopped offering a built-in BuyIt Now option due to ebay's policy of letting anyone with an email address register a username. We had half a dozen de@dbe@t bidders in a row hit the BIN with no intention of paying. We do have a BuyIt Now price so give us a call if you're interested. Make sure you call us for more information on this vehicle. As always though, our reserve is THOUSANDS less than NADA value so bid early & bid often so you don't miss out! Don't be outbid at the last minute! With the eBay proxy bidding system all you have to do is enter the maximum amount you're willing to pay when you get ready to bid. Ebay will then automatically bid against other people for you up to that amount to help make sure you don't miss out. This saves you from getting sniped in the last few seconds of an auction by someone with a computer program. Don't try and bid in small increments at the last minute...go ahead & bid the full amount you're willing to pay then let eBay do the hard work! This vehicle is for sale locally so we must reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. However, once the reserve is met then we will let the auction run its course & sell to the high bidder. Now for the fine print... This covers our costs for a notary, Fedex charges, and other paperwork including a temporary transit tag. Lousiana, Canadian and other foreign buyers must pay a $149 Documentation Fee to cover the extra Fedex and other expenses associated with doing international (and Cajun) paperwork. Click Here for our entire Terms and Conditions Winning bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. Balance due within 5 days of auction end. De@dbeat bidders WILL receive negative feedback & be reported to ebay. Payment Must Be Made VIA Cashier's Check, Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer, or Cash (in person). We must be able to verify funds prior to vehicle delivery. Generally we have almost all titles on hand. Feel free to contact us if you need to verify we have the title on hand for a particular vehicle. All Titles Are Held For Up To 14 Working Days For Funds To Clear, Then Will Be Sent via Priority Mail. On Average, Titles Go Out Within a Few Days, But Occasionally There May Be Delays Beyond Our Control. We Cannot Accept Credit Card or Escrow Payments. To save money be sure and specify "terminal to terminal" shipping. We'll drop the vehicle off at their local terminal here at no charge to save you money. If you pick up the vehicle at a terminal nearby instead of having it delivered to your doorstep then you'll save even more! If you don't want to make the long trip home then we have a local retired Army Sergeant Major that can drive most vehicles to you. He charges $1/mile for cars, $1.25/mile for light trucks and SUVs, and $1.50/mile for heavy-duty trucks and RVs. His charge is non-negotiable and must be paid separately. If you prefer to fly in & drive home we'll be glad to pick you up at Jackson Internation Airport ("JAN"), the local Greyhound station, or the Amtrak Depot. Our business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (CST). Please arrange your flight times accordingly. We are more than happy to provide free pickup during normal business hours. We no longer will deliver vehicles after-hours or on weekends. Occasionally things pop up like a blown fuse or a headlight going out and after hours a mechanic isn't there to fix it. We will store your vehicle up to 90 days free, however you must provide full coverage insurance. We will not be responsible for damage or theft while in storage here. Our insurance policy will not allow it. If you are not sure about something, Please ASK. Do not assume anything not listed is included. This is how we make our living. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to Ebay, and negative feedback posted. We are not one of those sellers who is afraid to leave bad feedback where it is due even at the risk of receiving it ourselves in return(one of the major flaws in eBay's feedback system). You can look at our "feedback left for others" page for proof. PLEASE ONLY BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY. IF THE RESERVE IS NOT MET, WE MAY CONTACT THE HIGH BIDDER TO OFFER THE SECOND CHANCE OPTION.
