I have an extremely rare 1929 Willys Whippet Six Sport Deluxe Roadster. This is a good running car. I was very active in the Willys Overland Knight Registry and at one point along with a few others decided we would collect only the rarest of the Willys Trademark cars. Our dream was that when we had compiled a good collection and added some of the other rare club cars from the group, we would start a museum specifically for these rare cars so when people were rebuilding one, they could go and view exact examples, as well as study company records and club information. My ultimate goal was to eventually donate all of mine to this car club and museum. Sometimes things just don't turn out like you would like and the dreams went by the wayside. So I have been selling my collection off a car at a time. I only have a few of these very rarest of the rare trademark cars left. At one point, this car was thought to be the only 1929 Roadster left...however, of course, there are probably a few others, but not many...if any. The body is good on this one. It could use some cosmetics and freshening, or drive it to meets and enjoy the summer with it the way it is and freshen it in the winter. . I haven't driven it for a couple yesrs other than to get it running and go to town maybe once or twice a year in it. About 10 years or so ago, I took it to a meet out west and climbed mountains with it with 4 adults aboard, (2 in front and 2 in the rumble seat.) The engine is good and strong. This car is 83 years old. It was never rusted and patched and put together out of parts like some I have seen. It was not assembled from other junked cars. It is not a converted sedan or other car like I have seen sold. It is an original survivor that is correct in every way. It is the true Roadster with no side windows.
