Vehicle Detail
1966 Dodge Coronet model 440 /2dr. ht. Street strip car I have owned this car for about 20 years originally 318 cid.w/bench seat, now has 66 bucket seats & floor shift. Body very solid and straight but not perfect, also rear window & windshield leak even w/professional Installation) Front & Rear window molding clips need to be switched from front to back and vise vesa. Body has some fill in it but has all new weather stripping new carpet & seat covers, replaced about 15 years ago so shows signs of wear. The car is very solid originally from North Carolina. Interior is basically stock, needs Head liner but still intact. Chassis -Subframe connecters . SS left springs moved under frame rails and Hung w/shackles (Frame was not cut) Gas tank sectioned to clear springs also has sump. Can fit N50 Hooshier quick times 10.5” treat w/12” section. 8 ¾ Rear w/3. 91:1 gears, clutch suregrip & pinion snuber. Drive shaft loop, 8pt. Roll cage w/back supports going thru speaker holes so as to retain back seat. Roll cage painted to match interior. Brakes 11” Front Disc. Massive 11”x3” Rear drum., Line locs, and adj .proportionioning valve (Brakes are manual) Trans .- 727 TF B&M Internals w/ Cheata Turbo Action valve Body (Reverse Pattern) Hurst ¼ stick shifter. Conan converter, 2800-3000 stall, Dennys High speed Balanced Drive Shaft. Exhaust 1 7/8 Headers w 3 ½” collectors 3” Pipe to back flow Master 2 Chamber Mufflers, W/ X-pipe Best for Last Muscle Motors built 440 CID Now displaces 505CID-93 octane motor. 590 HP/660 FT. Tq on the dyno. H beam rods, KB Forged pistons Comp Cams cam & lifters, stage 2, ported Eddelbrock Alum. Heads, Harland Sharp Roller Rockers, Cal custom valve covers, Mopar M1 Intake, Willson Mainifolds 4 hole spacer, Quick Fuel 950cfm carb, All SS Braided fuel line from gas tank sump .SFI Balancer-SFI Flex plate,SFI Moser axels. Car passed 2011 N.Y.S. Inspection from original horn to original back up lights. Car has run a best time of 11.87 sec. @ 113mph ¼ mile spinning tires past 60 ‘mark. Slicks should get it to run low 11S to high 10S. I have always run very good gas at the track and always used octane boost w/ pump gas. Motor was built 3 years ago and has less than 500 miles on motor. Again I have to say this is very solid straight car that is not hacked up and no wheel tubs and launches straight as an arrow off the line even spinning the times. I could part this car out for $15,000 or more. Motor alone is $10,000 crate motor. But I would like it to go to good home. I have to part with it because hard time all for desperate measures.
